With the interest and push to build a new stand alone wrestling training facility for Iowa Wrestling, I thought this article would be of interest to all of us Iowa Wrestling fans.

3,700 seating capacity for home meets and a new wrestling training facility.

According to floorplans at the Ohio State website, the new wrestling facility occupies two levels. The main level features a practice area with five full-size wrestling mats, along with workout equipment ... while the upper level includes coaches' offices, meeting room, and alumni lounge.

This article mentions that Indiana is building a new facility for Indiana Wrestling home meets. I called the Indiana Athletic Department in April and was told that they are not building a new wrestling training facility.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling Fan.

Go Hawks!

And the only times they need more are when we come to town!
More or less correct. The point is that a top-3 program should be counting on attracting well more than 3,700 per meet, regardless of the opponent. If nothing else, it's a great reminder of how unique the Iowa wrestling fan base is -- and how much of a boost we're going to give the program once our numbers and passion are fully mobilized on behalf of the HWC and the top wrestling facility in the nation.

I guess now we see why kids come to Iowa from Ohio. How many do we get just to watch an open practice? There is a reason I never moved away. Iowa is the greatest place to raise your family and watch wrestling.
