Iowa’s worst uniform since 2000 according to CBS sports

I generally agree with what you say here but think you have your years mixed up on regular jerseys...Kirk brought back the classic look we have now in 99-01 but Reebok was the sponsor. Went Nike 02. I think the era you are talking about is 96-98, just after the banana peels. The white Iowa on chest looked bad and the tri color collar was just too much.
Yeah you're right. I remembered the white lettering for the names and got my years mixed up.

Worst uniform ever.

End of discussion. Those uniforms were very fitting for that game and season as well.

I guarantee there are players that would tell you the uniforms elevate their skills....

Which I would find ridiculous and idiotic
Oh yeah well Santa Claus isn't real but that doesn't stop him from delivering presents to every good little girl and boy in one night every single year.........

I'd be ok with the "banana peel" throwbacks. Also throwbacks with the "hawk in flight" on the helmets.... I know I know... "Never mess with the tiger hawk... But those are pretty sweet

You don't think if they look good that a player might have a little more initial hop in their step

You can have your opinion

I think there’s something to having “good looking” uniforms vs ugly uniforms.

I think it can be meaningful to make a change and reset the culture. Maybe something Nebraska should consider.

But Iowa’s uniforms were already great. Making them “greater” for one special night (which they have been) should not move the dial. If it does I think that says more about the player in a negative way than the positive impact of the uniform.

You don't think having new , exciting uniforms can have a positive impact early in the game. Players a little more juiced up

Agree to disagree

Read my post again. I didn’t say it doesn’t happen. I said I find it idiotic and riddiculous.

If a guy needs a special jersey to get himself to the highest level when playing big time college football I find that problematic
