Iowa 12-5 (3-3) Rest of the way predictions

I said 8-12 in league play before the season started, so right there with you.
And despite the debacle last night against wisky they will win again.

Fran's worst team in last 10 years or so only won 8 conference games? I'm thinking of Jbo Freshman year, total rebuild. Fran has a way winning more games than you might expect. I'm still thinking 10-10 in conference play, but I have no idea how the wins are distributed. I do think it is getting harder for Fran to achieve 0.500. . He used to be able to count on a lot of easy wins vs Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, Minnesota, and Northwestern. Those bottom feeders have improved over the years.

JBo's freshman year may have been Frans best coaching job. 10 Big ten wins and a Minnesota shit call from making NCAA tournament. Of course it's the usual egg laying in the first round of BTT as a higher seed.
The next year was terrible with four Big Ten wins.

Everyone seems to improve when you’re looking up at them.

Thanks for correction. I see JBO Freshman year was 10-8 in conference and NIT. The next year was Fran's worse year 4 - 14 in B1G play.

NIT

Watching Harding is painful.
Why, because he plays with fire, distributes the ball and plays incredibly hard. You are a clown. Watching the Sandforts is painful, especially Peyton who shoots us out of most games and is just a spot up guy who is terrible on defense. Pryce is easily the worst defender we have. We suck at defense every year because we religiously have slow, athletically limited guys playing big minutes who can’t play one on one defense nor effective zone, again because they are not athletic enough to execute the plan. Harding is the least of our problems.

The hard truth is that you could bring in thousands of undersized mid major recruits who would "play with fire, distribute the ball, and play incredibly hard."

But that doesn't mean they would be effective at this level.

This is a shitty conversation that I don't like having because it's not Harding's fault that he has a scholarship at the University of Iowa. And he's unquestionably a great kid and a great competitor.

Let's see, for the remaining schedule I see ....

5-3/6-2/7-1 at home.

0-7 on the road, while giving up season highs of pts scored/3pt% & rebounds allowed to the vast majority of them.

8-12/17-15, 9-11/18-14 or 10-10/19-13 final record.

Might be enough for an NCAA bid if get to 9-11, but only worthy of an NIT one instead.
