Iowa heads to Hawaii for a four game series. DH is Saturday. The Friday game starts at 10:35pm local time. Same rotation with Cam Baumann starting the other Saturday game. Hawaii plays in a conference with some tough teams.

Heller’s weekly email suggested they may have trouble getting out of CID today to make the trip. I followed departures too closely today and it appears they got out despite the snow. Be nice to take three or a sweep!
Taking 3 of 4 would be great. Starting a game at 10:35 PM central time doesn't sound like much fun for the opener.
My main concerns are adjusting to the time change and umpiring. I've watched football and basketball where road teams get jobbed at Hawaii.

When I played college baseball in the early 90s, the Metrodome hosted round-the-clock college games. The later the game, the cheaper the price. Pretty sure we played a DH that got done between 2 and 3 am. On a side note, it's a unique environment playing in the dome with about 100 fans present.
I played in the same event back in the 90's, was definitely cool and weird at the same time, with virtually no fans in the dome.

Was out east and then down south over the last 2 weeks checking out some talent in various conferences and talking to some coaches and scouts. Also had a chat with Desi Druschel. Good to see him doing well.
More reasons why you're the best with Iowa Baseball knowledge. I was worried when Brickman left and I'm was worried with Desi's departure but Heller's shown the ability to bring in quality replacements.
Batting practice for Hawaii through 4 innings. Iowa still without a hit and 6 runners left on base.

Iowa got free bases early on and could not get hits, plus we are seeing the Cole McDonald of two years ago currently. Unfortunate but there were/are a lot of unknowns with this team. Last time they went out west to Vegas it was a disaster, this time it's Hawaii. If they go 1-3 or worse then Iowa should never go west of Lincoln in any sport unless they are forced to.
That's why I'd rather Iowa get sent to Des Moines or hell even Florida, than San Jose or somewhere west in the tournament.
Not sure but I would assume so otherwise I have no clue why they pulled him 7-7 top 6th
Games are fun over here. Pretty good crowd and they are into it. Plenty of comedians in the crowd. Way more fun when we are playing well too!
Game at 5pm CST or 1pm local Hawaii time today. It would be big to get a 3-1 series W especially considering our starting pitching has not been good.
