Iowa Baseball home opener

Is supposed to be Wednesday vs Mt.Mercy, but HawkeyeSports says the game wont be played in Iowa City and they are looking at other options.

Anybody know whats up?

A few questions for those in the know as well. As hard as it is to believe, I have never made it over to Iowa City for baseball (always gone to away/neutral games). Are you able to purchase tickets right at Duane Banks or do you need to go to the ticket office on campus?

You can buy tickets at the stadium. There aren't any issues with availability.

Last weekend it appeared as though they were installing sod in the infield. Also, the outfield has no green grass yet - too early in the year. So in other words - there's no way the stadium is ready for a ball game.
