They’ve stranded guys at third with one out, and now fallen behind. This is set to be a crippling loss. This is just not executing.

The starting pitching has been fantastic. Hopefully things start coming around in high leverage situations. Eventually you figure Nelson will find his way and we’ll start getting more traffic on the bases.
It sucks to hold teams to .166 and 2.50 and be sitting at 3-3. And with the (low) quality of opposition ahead, this can hopefully be the start of a pretty good winning streak ahead of the week 5 home series with Sparty.

Nah, we usually find ways under #Heller Ball to poop our pants by some 9-7 or 15-10 finals against Indiana University of Illinois State-Parkview on a random Wednesday or three, even with......"elite"......pitching.
The day that stops happening is the day Ohio State gets a lengthy postseason ban from football for being filthy cheating pieces of sh**.

The weather over the next 2 weeks in Iowa City will range from the low 40's to 60 (on Fri Feb 28).
The Wazzu series is in Texas so only the St Thomas game is home, but it’ll be a good chance for the guys to take BP outside. Watts has been really really good other than the 2 out 2 strike grand slam in the opener. He seems otherwise reliable. There’s plenty of signs that the pitching is going to be way better all the way around and keep us in games most of the time.
I see the bull pen as having bright spots. I saw the defense improve. More offensive consistency is the key going forward as I see it. I’m making the assumption defense will continue to be better. I don’t share the same bull pen concerns some others do. Actually encouraged by the bull pens improvement so far.
