Our Kinnick Stadium has a parking ramp to the north, old houses to the south, railroad tracks to the west, and a hospital to the east. Meanwhile, Jack Trice Stadium is upping their gameday environment. The only thing that Iowa City has in any way comparable is the IRL. But again, nothing near the stadium.

Cool….I guess? They’re putting up primarily residential and office buildings near Trice and Hilton. Big wow.
By residential buildings, do you mean like houses, apartments and townhomes that are walking distance to the stadium? And by office buildings, do you mean a structure where businesses exists, like a hospital? Hmm. Sounds unique. ;)

There is some concerns with Ames business owners and property tax payers. Because this using State property to compete with local businesses and it won't be on the property tax rolls.

It could be cool, but this is Jamie Pollard and BOR screwing over established business in Ames.

Will be interesting when that area floods like it has numerous times previously. Hilton has been inundated with flood water so that whole area will flood as well if and when heavy persistent rains hit. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.

And I don't think ISU is self-insured like U of I; as far as I know. So more farmers will be asking for payouts to their precious ISU

I guess we just need to implode the hospital and Children's hospital so we can have a fancy strip mall. F them kids!

Reminds me of this beautiful Russian Komsomol Apartmentski Komplexska (minus the classy ketchup and mustard paintjob)
