With Nebraska having two weeks off to prepare for the Hawkeyes, Nebraska will have an advantage in scouting everything Iowa does. Our defense against the pass needs to improve, whether its an occasional man to man coverage which makes it harder for passer to see an open receiver or a better rush. Davis did a good job last week using Mitchell and tight ends.

I have forwarded to the coaching staff! They thank you for the reminder!

What is there to scout? Iowa does the same schemes on offense and defense every year. They haven't changed anything since Kirk arrived 17 years ago. The only thing that changes is the players. It's all about execution.

Just be ready for the trick plays and gambles on Special teams.

When Purdue faked it, I called it out while they were lining up. They ran the ball on 3rd down and 9. You knew they were going to fake it.

I would give up the punt return yards and play basic defense every time Nebbie punts on Friday. They are going to pulling out all the stops to beat Iowa.

Nebraska had 1 week off (1 week of not playing anyone, also known as a bye). Iowa has changed a few things from last year to this year. Nebraska definitely has an advantage with a bye week at home and Iowa coming off a short week. That being said, Iowa (and all schools) have a few guys in the office doing scouting on the next weeks team plenty early. BOTH TEAMS want this victory bad and both teams will be prepared to play and emotionally into it. It will come down to execution, who makes the plays, and who makes the mistakes.

So, our 11-0 coaching staff needs to be "on the ball"? Seriously?

It's getting apparent that on this board if the Hawks lose a game the rest of the season it will be entirely because of the coaching staff mistakes, not because of the players or because the opponent did really well. KF will be an idiot again.

Actually, the next time the Hawks lose a game, ever, KF will be a lazy, stubborn, idiot sitting on his bags of money again.
