Iowa football program

I was told by someone close to the program that you are wrong.

Wow, that's easy. I guess anyone can say - "I was told by someone close to the program "

I was told by someone close to the program that the other 40-50 kids that are on the team have to take a bus Saturday morning for 6 hours hangout and then walk to the stadium, sit in shitty seats far away from the field while other people from the program and ex Hawkeyes get to be on the sidelines during the game. If Iowa wins the game, they are not aloud to go out on the field to celebrate with their teammates and then in the morning get back on the bus for another 6 hour ride back to school while the other team members and other individuals from the program fly back to school. Iowa coaching staff and the athletic program should be ashamed of themselves treating the kids like stepchildren. They have busted their asses, giving their blood and sweat to this team on a daily basis and just because they are not playing doesn't mean they have not earned the right to be treated with respect. Iowa talks about being a team and it sounds to me "team" only sounds good when you are being interview in front of the press! Iowa should be ashamed of their actions. One word Karma! Treat others the way you want to be treated - it's called respect! I always knew college football was dirty but this really show how shitty and dirty these programs are!
So if they find another ride Friday evening, do some homework instead of hangout, or catch a ride to the stadium, what happens?

Other 40-50 kids? Who the hell are you talking about?

If you believe this, you know not the first thing about the Iowa coaching staff.

That is funny! Really funny! And a joke!!! Good try!!!

Its not a bus dummy. Its a tractor pulling trailer and it will be 60 not 6 hours. Get your facts straight!

But the weather forecast is fantastic.

That was a long ranted message, surprised you didn't faint before you finished. Oh maybe you did?

Go Hawks!

I was told by someone close to the Michigan State program that they're going to make sure they let Iowa win tomorrow because of all the people not wanting Iowa to win.

Are you really that stupid? Speaking of buses when does the short bus pick you up?

You are drawing conclusions with insufficient and inaccurate info. My perspective is very different from yours. My kid is a member of the current Hawkeye team. I have come to know KF and staff relatively well over the past two years. Here's what I know: 1) KF and his staff care care deeply about the players; 2) the current roster is 114 players; 3) player parents have been told that NCAA regulations restrict the number of players that can suit for a in-season game and how many may travel to an in-season away game, as a result only about 105 suit for home games and only about 75-80 travel to away games; 4) the rules regarding post season games allow the entire team to travel and to suit, if the schools wish. In other words, it's up to each schools' discretion how many players travel, and how they travel, in the post-season.

Tonight's game, while very important, is still considered an in-season game. KF's secretary was very happy to announce that B1G recently informed them the non-travel team players were allowed to travel (by bus) and given one complimentary ticket each, to attend tonight's game. Considering what I just said, this is a happy development for the guys!

In the post-season, Iowa has traditionally traveled with the entire roster, which is something not all schools choose to do. All players fly, all players suit, all players experience all the activities, together. I commend KF for this.

I hope this helps put your mind at rest. GO HAWKS!!

I heard they have to walk from Iowa City to Indy. Uphill both ways.

In addition, Gary Barta will be riding on the back of a flat bed trailer in front of them, operating a snow making machine. (This is per a guy who changed Kirk's oil one time a few years back, who I consider extremely close to the program).

Thank you for posting the facts, I know they will likely be ignored but I do appreciate it.
