Iowa Football Recruits--Track and Field Results

Shawn Beyer got 1st place and qualified for state with a 6'2" high jump...way too many white boys in Iowa lol When I was high jumping in Illinois (1983) we needed to clear 6'4" to qualify for state.

Were all those high jumpers top football prospects? Beyer also runs hurdles and long jumps.

You now need a jump of (6'5"), sadly he wouldn't have qualified for 110m high hurdles either need a time of (14.74) The good news he would have made it in the long jump ( 22-3)

I stand corrected those numbers were for 2015...he would have qualified for 110m hh (14.98) still came up short for high jump (6'3") Looks like we got ourselves a good athlete !!!!!
