Close but not really! Iowa has one less top 50 wins but 2 on the road VS zero for Syracuse! I think as these experts do some more scrubbing Iowa will be in an even better position, especially with a win against PSU!

My point is that is what propped them up/in. Happened right after they beat them on a banked 3.
Yeah I get what you're saying! I just think Duke is attractive is a name there where wins at Wisconsin and Maryland hold more.. as well as wins against Purdue (20) and ISU

ACC bubble teams have better top end wins. So comparing "Top 50" isn't an apples to apples comparison, as we only have 1 Top 25 win and several 26-50 wins. This is the current separation (other than RPI for everyone except Syracuse and GA Tech).

Right but committee loves road wins! They have zero top 50

Yeah, I'll be fascinated to watch how the ACC bubble shakes out. We could get a lot of help if UNC, FL St, Duke, Louisville, etc. can knock the bubble teams out early. The danger is when the final ends up something like Syracuse vs Georgia Tech and they've both added some Top 25 wins. That conference is crazy this year.

We have 2, Purdue and Maryland. If Iowa state wins tonight, we could have 3. Also, Syracuse has no top 50 road wins, we have 2. We also have a better SOS.

Nice catch - I didn't notice Maryland had edged up into Top 25. The more I'm studying resumes, the more I like where we are positioned. If we can get our RPI in order, we've got solid wins and a stark difference between first and second half of season performance to help break ties.

I absolutely believe that 3 more wins will get us in. Penn St (top 100), Ohio state (top 100), Wisconsin/Maryland/Minnesota (top 50/25). Winning 6 straight top 100 games at the end of the year, including 2 top 50/25 road games would put us in.

I'd love the 7 seed. Win Friday and we avoid Purdue, Northwestern and Michigan St. Get opportunities vs 2 teams we already beat and another we had basically beaten on the road. All 3 would be huge too 50 wins. Great chance to return to BTT championship game

If you look at teams projected in, I think USC and Wake Forest are the ones Iowa has a better resume than. Those are the two I'd really focus on.

I hope the committee looks at our entire season and realizes that our preconference schedule woes were directly due to trying to acclimate a group of freshman to playing college ball for the first time and realize how much they've improved over the season.

They are trying to pick the best teams at tournament time, aren't they?

Also nobody thought cuse would make the tourney last year and they did, and went far but shouldn't have been in.

They are like Michigan State can't have a tourney without them. All about the money too cuse brings a lot of that.

But i can't believe 15-14 Clemson is a bubble team and wake forest too. Also there's another team I can't recall right now that was no business being on the bubble. We have more top 50 wins than wake forest, they have played 6 more games against the top 50 too.

Unless we run off three more wins the NCAA powers-to-be will exclude the Hawks IMO!

Plus Syracuse lost to (RPI #206 Boston College, #110 UCONN, and #128 St Johns). That can't look very good on the old resume.

I realize Iowa has losses to (RPI #117 Memphis & #140 UNO)

SOS IA 43 Cuse 46
vs top 50 IA 5-8 Cuse 6-7

So right now they have the better wins vs the top 50, but those 3 losses outside of the top 100 should probably carry a little weight. This losses were in January and not November.
