This game’s going to be 2 hours of agony to watch. Even if we win.

Actually surprised at that line ... figured it would be Iowa -7 or -8. I'm guessing we got a few points since we usually have played well at the United Center historically and are familiar with the court.
As a friendly Illini fan that comes in peace (I usually get along with most here besides that one crazy guy who keeps posting about how Iowa will win by 20+ and can't respond to any post without getting nasty), I am expecting Iowa gets their "bounce back" game vs. the Illini tonight. Iowa is a terrible matchup for us, and we do leave a lot of shooters open.

Maybe it is just my sobriety since I haven't gotten drunk in a few days...so excuse my current line of thinking. Didn't Iowa beat a Northwestern team not too long ago in the two regular season meetings by a combined 52 points only to turn around and lose to them in Iowa's first game of the BTT?

Let me put it this way.
I would be totally shocked if Iowa lost this game. Absolutely flabbergasted.
Along with that it would take away any ounce of hope that I have left that Fran is the man for the Iowa job. Iowa has effort they win. Effort includes closing out on shooters, boxing out, running the court, rebounding etc etc.
As long as Illinois can't shoot over the zone we should we should be alright. We have seen teams get hot with their 25 foot shots against the Hawks. Hope that is not the case tonight.

I know why. Because if the Hawks win they still get to put on their Hawkeye jammies and jump on the bed. If the Hawks lose, they get to come back on here and say "I told you so!".
“Crazy guy” predicts Iowa wins by 20+. Iowa wins by 20+ (Could easily have been 30+ if Fran didn’t call off the dogs).
I don’t usually say I told you so but when I do it’s because I told you so.
Illinois may have to fire and hire YET ANOTHER head coach before it sniffs another NCAA tourney.
