Yep when asked, Jeff Long says Iowa is better than the Big12 teams ranked behind them.

Big 12 and clone fans in particular need some Preparation H for all their butthurt.

ESPN latched onto Oklahoma pretty damn quick. Look at their NCAAF page from the last two days - 7/10 top stories are about Oklahoma and how great they looked.

That was nice. He then said pretty much the same thing as last week- Iowa is not flashy but very balanced on both sides and have a couple nice road wins. Rece Davis seemed a little butthurt himself when he said "there probably isn't anyone outside that committee room that thinks Iowa is better than Oklahoma right now." Fine with us, Rece. The committee actually watched the teams play last weekend and it their JOB to know who's better.

That doesn't matter God damnit!!! They're job is not to identify who the best 4 teams are on a head to head basis. If we played Oklahoma next week and lost by 50 that doesn't mean the ranking was "wrong". I'm so tired of this arrogant BS.

Oklahoma lost to Texas. There is no scenario where they should be higher than an undefeated BIG team. To suggest anything different is riddiculous.

Considering OK St. played no P5 non-conference games, the only point of comparison is results @ ISU. Needless to say, Iowa's performance, while closer than it perhaps should have been, was far superior to what OK. St. did just last week. No conclusion could be drawn other than "Iowa is better" at this point. Also, all things being equal, you would always lean toward a team with a good defense.

I do fully expect the winner of OK vs. OK St. to jump Iowa if all keep winning, where Iowa will jump them back and into the top 4 with a win in the CCG. If OK St. wins out, they'll still be in as the 3/4 over ND.

There should probably be a 16 team playoff so men can stop sounding like women on The View as the Herbstreit's do now....this is football, ever heard of settling it on the field ladies?

The most annoying thing being done right now, is ignoring a loss by some of these teams. The whole "how are they playing lately" argument, has completely the other talking heads to use their opinion, as to who should be in the top four, rather than actually looking at total resumes and records. I would understand it if a team like Houston was sitting at #5, but we aren't Houston. Just this morning on Mike and Mike, Herbie was saying you can't take away from Okie's win over Baylor just because they had a backup QB in there. What? That doesn't matter? He said, no matter who you put in there, that offense is going to put up points. Baylor put up 31 on KSU with that backup QB. Only USD, UTSA, and Texas put up less. There is always going to be an excuse for those teams that have names, it's just unfortunately how this works.

I look forward to them looking silly from week to week...part of the OU stroking may be to prevent them from looking silly for having Baylor so high prior....gotta save face.
