Iowa is scared to death of Big Red storm..Haha

Why? There is an Orange Bowl victory from as recently as January 5, 2010 Iowa fans can watch.

Are you old enough to remember the last time Nebraska won the Orange Bowl?

And just think, they only had to beat 1 team every year to go to the Orange Bowl. The Big 8 was a joke. It was either Little Debbie or Oklahoma because that conference was a joke.

The Big 8 and now Big 12 has always been that way. It's gotten worse now that Texas dictates every move.

I'm actually glad Nebraska joined up because I don't think a program like Texas should be able to dictate terms. This is why Notre Dame is independent because they think they're better than anyone else. I commend Nebraska for giving Texas the middle finger and forcing the Texas league to add West Virginia.

I've seen every bowl game but the 1941Rose Bowl 1955 Orange Bowl and 1962 Gotham bowl.
Like I said read my earlier post that Iowa has only won 2 Major or BCS bowls since 1959 and that would have been one of the two.

Now what.

Safe to say that most fans reading this forum are not as ancient as you...

You asked a foolish question before and I provided an answer that indicates that Iowa has participated and won a major bowl since the time when Nebraska has accomplished that. This is no longer the 70s, 80s or even the 90s. Most freshman preparing to begin their college career were born long after those 'glory years'.

History is earned not GIVEN.... Freshman need to know history too.

You be sure to remind them of that....

I've got a sneaking suspicion that they will tell you they do not care. As for the post of yours I originally responded to, I am not seeing anything of substance to refute my point.

Carry on.

You can tell them that while you are screaming for them to get off your lawn.

You are on the Iowa board. You don't see us on your board trying to stir up a conversation about past glory do you? No you don't. So we win the who is more relevant game. No get off our lawn.

Huskers threw their history out the door when they bailed and joined the B1G. Little Debbie has no history anymore.

In all seriousness, did Nebby beat Iowa in any sport last year? Volleyball? Women's hoops? I honestly don't know.

They'll have more of their Big 8 brethren soon enough. Hopefully we'll be moved to the East when Oklahoma and Kansas come in. I'd rather play Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State every year.
