From UI Athletics:
Long-time University of Iowa strength and conditioning coach Bill Maxwell is set to retire following a 27-year stint with the Hawkeyes.

Maxwell has been the men’s basketball program’s strength and conditioning coach for 22 years. Serving as Iowa’s director of athletic performance, Maxwell has worked with nearly every Hawkeye sport during his tenure.

“I want to thank Bill for his dedication to our program and the department for the past 27 years,” said Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery. “Bill has had an outstanding career in the strength and conditioning field, and he has been an incredible resource for our players. We all wish Bill the best in his future endeavors.”

Before joining the Hawkeyes in 1997, Maxwell served as a strength coach at the University of Kansas from 1991-97. Maxwell graduated from East Carolina in 1990, where he was a member of the Pirates’ football team.

Andre McIntyre will step in as men’s basketball’s strength and conditioning coach.
