Iowa offers #1 JUCO CB Keshawn Davila

I’m cautiously optimistic about the last 2 years classes but until they find a good QB it won’t matter. How they’ve continually screwed up their evaluations and development at the most critical position on the team is beyond frustrating.
While I think QB play has clearly not been great, I think coaching has had more to do w/it than anything. Petras was better as a Sophomore than he was as a Sr. Something happened to our QB development over the years since Stanley left. Stanley wasn't great, but damn he was Mahomes compared to what's been going on since then. Look at his completion rate and what's happening at Utah St. 25-39 against Wyoming 64%, 32-47 68%, 41-59 69% 27-41 65%. His confidence was shattered playing for us. Cade just can't be this bad. I get that he didn't have to put up big numbers because MIchigan was so loaded but he was still recruited and started for Harbaugh. We seem to coach any natural instincts out of our QB's anymore.

Pending $ offers and probability of starting or having a shot to start right away.
As a juco he maybe has 2 or 3 years left and if it is only 2 years left that ability and chance to be a starter right off the bat is huge for these types of recruits.

I always wondered why we couldnt get some better WRs the past 5-6 years because really good talent and skill should play right away at Iowa at that position. Keegan J started as a freshman and other freshman got PT but they are not the 6' 4" leapers you want to try to get with big shoulders to ward off Dbacks

The kid isn’t dumb. He’s posting pictures in school gear to up the anty for his playing services. Expect to see photos of the other top 7 schools he has it narrowed down to then open it up to others when they come calling with an open NIL checkbook.

We should be able to get possession type receivers. Routes that assist in getting not so fluid runners semi-open, and have good hands. For the life of me I don't understand how someone drops a ball any more with those tacky gloves they can wear. If you are getting blasted at the same time as trying to catch I can see, but just a flat out drop I don't get.

Do you think the racial suit helped any?

And Phil can point to how his DBs are doing at the next level
