Iowa offers Jaxx DeJean (Class of 2027). Other offers include Michigan (Feb 13, 2025) & K-State (Jun 23, 2024)

I would love to see him in black-and-gold at LB in Phil Parker's defense, but unfortunately my in-laws are SEC people. There's a chance, though, that he won't play football anywhere. Last summer, despite being fresh out of 8th grade, he was offered a baseball scholarship by LSU when he attended their camp.
Good Lord, that's impressive!! Hope for his sake (health) he plays baseball and tears it up!

Agreed. My nephew is Class of 27 in Georgia and already has at least 10 offers. I'd be surprised if he doesn't go to UGA (assuming he doesn't play baseball instead), but Auburn, Ohio State, and USC are among the other contenders. He's a good kid and a fine multi-sport athlete, but it's mind-boggling that he's already got that much attention.
Its really nothing new given all the off season camps, and training these guys get. My youngest son received some D1 and D2 interest after his third game on the varsity basketball team as a 15 yr old freshman, and that was in 2000-2001....

I assume spring practice would start the following week???

Close.

Here's a rough timeline:

March 8, 2025: Junior Day

March 18-April 20, 2025 (34 days): According to NCAA regulations, college football teams are allowed a maximum of 15 spring practice sessions within a 34-day period, which roughly translates to around 5 weeks of practice time, including the spring game which is usually considered the final practice day.

April 20, 2025: is a Saturday (last year's spring game was Saturday, April 20, 2024).

I see Michigan has been added to the thread title...the offer is quite legit...but don't worry...we know he is going to Iowa...

I'm really only chiming in because he is being recruited by our TE coach...I know most of you have already said he is a TE...just giving more substantiation

Good Lord? Postmans son? Neither of their parents are tall either....
I just googled a couple pics of them standing next to cooper. Dad is at least 6'2, mom close to 5'10, so definitely possible to have a kid that tall. Cooper kinda unexpectedly short at 6'0".
