Folks we beat 3 sweet 16 teams in Wisky, Michigan & Purdue and beat the runner up & tourney champ from the Big 12 in ISU and got left out.

We were the only 10-8 B1G team that was left out and those other 3 all won games against the power 5/6 schools.

For whatever reason, it became popular at all levels of the media to bag on the B1G Ten this season and it affected both the men's and the women's seedings in the tournament. When we were beating each other up in February, it was a sign that the conference was weak. When other conferences were doing the exact same thing, it showed how tough those lower teams were and reflected on how great those league teams were overall.

I can't say how well we might have done in the NCAA's, had our conference been rated higher, but if we don't beat TCU today , it will be a moot point.

Thats the problem with the "we got what we deserved" issue. Its not an absolute. There were teams whose resume didn't seem as good as Iowa's who got in because the perception of their conference,(right or wrong), was better then the BIG.

We also lost to Nebraska Omaha, Memphis, and got clobbered in the conference tourney by a team that just fired its coach. We are exactly where we should be.

Yes we did do all those things you mentioned. There are teams who got in who also had really bad losses, and not some of the big wins we had down the stretch.

Purdue beat you badly once right? NW beat u by 35, IU beat you by 30 in the BIG Tourney...now TCU beats u in Carver with its best player out injured...be grateful u got that NIT bid...ur not very good.
