We are going to have to play more ranked team, and many Big 10 programs have made big changes that will lead to better competition. KF will not change. We are now a national embarrassment on offense. Recruiting on that side of the ball is going to get really ugly. We are headed for 5 to 7 wins a year. Maybe even worse.not sure i'd go that far....
KF's buyout is over $30MAny head coach in the country would be fired because of that stat!
Negotiate early retirement of $10M and go away.KF's buyout is over $30M
Lol, inept.
i wonder if KF would do thatNegotiate early retirement of $10M and go away.
Iowa Offense = Where the opposing defense can still look good while falling down laughing at them.
Pretty ****ing sad that the opposition knows that the game is likely in the bag if they can score 10+ points on the Iowa D early, before it can settle in and adjust to the opposing O.
It would be better if this bowl game was his finale. But if you can guarantee next season is it that's at least a decent second option.Next year will be KFs last
Why wasn’t he being pelted with overripe produce?!
Next year will be KFs last
The teams they beat were a combined 51-65.Yep. Pretty simple. Iowa eeked past the weak opponents on the schedule. No chance against the good opponents.

Iowa is built to eek out one-score victories against MAC and B10 West opponents. It matters nothing how much you lose by.
Iowa is built to win low scoring games. Thus, on days where they aren't good enough to win, they can get shutout at times.
But the program also has consistently won for 20+ years because of the way it's built
This isn’t exactly accurateIt matters nothing how much you lose by.

Iowa hasn't decided anything. The offense has fallen on some hard times the past couple years. There have been very real factors that have lead to this. And overall, it's something that will be grown out of.This isn’t exactly accurate
Prior to this season i think Iowa hadn’t been shut out since 1999
They were shut out 3x this year.
Only over the 5-7 years has Iowa decided that less points is good. They would still manage to put up plus 20ppg with a few real clunkers mixed in.
Then the last three years they decided to shut down all offensive production
That conveniently leaves out 20+ years of consistent success. Iowa has beaten a lot of good teams over that time.Iowa is built to eek out one-score victories against MAC and B10 West opponents.

Iowa is built around their defense. Thus, when they have to encounter some tough times as a program, it's going to show up in their offense.
Regardless if Iowa is getting shut out, they are built to win low scoring games. If it happens to not be their day, some ugly output from the offense can show up at times. The point remains that they have been consistently successful for 20+ years because of how they are built.
It doesn't matter how much you lose by. A win is a win. And a loss is a loss
It was a jokemost Iowa fans probably had already exited the stadium
and remember, the Iowa fans in the stadium invested A LOT of their time and money (on airline tickets, game tickets, hotel, rental car, food & entertainment, etc); I doubt they are the type to throw things at people or on the field.
Finally watched some of the post game comments from Ferentz.
Mentioning that the defense didn't score is a ridiculous excuse.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Why can't this staff admit the real issues?
Analysis of game.what was the context of him saying the defense didn't score?
Analysis of game.
Pretty much spread any blame.
Barta was an idiot. Thank goodness Lickliter never managed to turn in a good season, otherwise we'd have been stuck with him for a decade, too.Problem is the AD gave out tons of contract extensions to a guy who thinks punting is winning. The new AD is going to have a short career watching Fran and Ferentz tank their programs.
I mean, I get the fatherly trait to protect your kids, but in no universe was Bri Bri a good OC.thanks; that's crazy to even bring up that the Iowa defense didn't score
