I would love to have the resources to have a monster pre-dual party with Iowa and Penn State fans. If a person where to do something like that, where would an ideal location that could accommodate something like that be?

I would hate to take money from the usual food and beverage locations that have fans scattered throughout IC and Coralville, but it would just be cool to have the fans under the same roof and talking about wrestling and getting to meet some of our PSU friends. Someone set up the worlds largest wpte-dual restling tailgate for me if you would. Will do it the in conjunction with Wrestling For Life and our local venders can bring the food and drink. Thanks in advance.

Logistically difficult, but a man can dream.

See about renting the upstairs of the Vine. It's been a while, but I think you have to guarantee a certain amount in sales as far as food and beverages go, but it's not a high number, and with this group I'm sure you will eclipse that number easily. I can't remember if you have to pay a rental fee also (I'm sure you probably do). We had my old man's retirement party up there 4-5 years ago, it was very handy venue. Bar upstairs!

The vine is probably easiest and requires the least driving post tailgate. Just get name tags and a sharpie to be placed at the door...

Several years ago (last year of Sunderland was the coach at PSU), the PSU Club held a party for the Iowa Fan that came to the match at Happy Valley. It was a real nice celebration for all. I met several very nice parents.

Well, if you grew up Iowa City in the 80s and went to SouthEast JH, this mixer would have been held at the Mercer Park tennis courts. That is, until Mr. Hanson got in his Datsun 200SX and drove across the football field to break it up.

Otherwise, the line at Pancheros, errr, maybe that's not the best idea...okay, how about the alley behind the Deadwood?

I was going to put no dancing in my post. I'll bring a mat though, when I drink at our parties wrestling matches usually happen.

I'll sick my wife and her party planning friend on it. See what it looks like for the hell of it.
I will chip in $100 toward drink tab IF Sans brings a mat and wrestles one of the lion boys - how about lemon lime? Imaloner? Other?

I don't think I'll be ready, the mat is for others. I just had my second shoulder surgery in 6 months and third total. Might be looking at a joint replacement at 43. I've made a few sacrifices for the sport. My kids will take them out though.

My wife's uncle owns the Heartland, does it have a conference room of any size to it? It doesn't appear to.

Something like the 5 Sullivan convention center in Waterloo would be perfect. It would be much easier if I didn't live in Waterloo/CF and it's so late in the game.

I don't have time to organize anything, but someone could get in touch with Twelve 01, the newly remodeled restaurant attached to the Hampton Inn at 1st Ave and 80. They have a couple private dining rooms and access to the bigger halls.

Did you see the Movie about the Gangs of New York............?

It would probably be prudent of you "Rumble by the Statue" fans to reconsider your plans. Truth be told Mikey is a closet nit fan. Consider yourselves fore-rode.
