Will the budget be balanced? Without the revenue, will there be a deficit?
Only a marxist ward of the state would see this as a bad thing. Get a job and increase your own revenue!
When you say "revenue", you really mean tax dollars. Call it what it is.
Yes, [your] government will steal almost anything it can get its hands on!Hey dummy, taxes are not the only way that states generate cash flow, which is why non-idiots say "revenue" rather than "tax dollars"
HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!Hey dummy, taxes are not the only way that states generate cash flow, which is why non-idiots say "revenue" rather than "tax dollars"
HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
What time are you meeting your comrades at the red square?
Well, that is what the study is for. The pols now decide our fate. I’ll bet you one thing though. The surplus will not be touched and our schools will feel the brunt of the cuts.Is the budget still balanced? I’d yes, this is a great move
And this is why "Covid genius, did an excellent job during Covid" Kim will be governor of Iowa as long as she wants.
That IS how “governments” collect their monies for their expenses. What do you want to call it, hex? When you say "revenue", you really mean tax dollars. Call it what it is.
Communism is anything they disagree with. That's the new definition. Otherwise, they'd have to explain Trump's love of Putin.Even for you, this reaction is perplexing. Simply acknowledging the reality that states are funded by more than just tax dollars makes one a Soviet era communist?
And it generates a "HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!"
Weirdos
They will raid the trust fund to hide the issue in 2026.Iowa's expenditures will outpace their revenues going forward but those in power tell us this is OK because, for now, there is a surplus. They are also advocating for zero income tax that will slash revenues further while simultaneously paying out hundreds of millions more to subsidize families who have been sending their children to private school.
Fiscal conservatism.
Got any evidence to support your post?Iowa's expenditures will outpace their revenues going forward but those in power tell us this is OK because, for now, there is a surplus. Finance…. Don’t follow the news during the legislative sessions? Listen to Kim’s plans for a new and greater Ioway? Pretty much what the Repubbers have been chasing ever since Terry the Second made his re-appearance to Iowa v politics. You know damn well this is what Terry/Kim and the GOP are planning to do.Got any evidence to support your post?
I’d look for public employees to be given the opportunity to make “better choices”, in regards to their retirement and health care options.I suppose kim can eliminate free and reduced school lunches, reduce unemployment checks to two weeks max, terminate all DNR employees, and cut teacher pay to make up shortfalls.
Won’t surprise me if she runs to replace Chuck. They will raid the trust fund to hide the issue in 2026.
I still think Kim doesn't run in 2026 because the real s**t storm will hit after that when painful cuts have to happen. She won't want to hang around for that.
I'm sorry, are we hurting your tax payer provided income?Good. F the poor. Vote gop more often.
Haha I keep poor idiots like you fed.I'm sorry, are we hurting your tax payer provided income?
She’s not chancing the people of Iowa to elect her to that Office…..she will appoint herself to replace Chuck when he “decides” to retire….just like how she became Governor….no one had to vote for her!Won’t surprise me if she runs to replace Chuck.
I don't follow Iowa politics. I simply responded to a post that provided no basis, and was asking for some basis. People post opinions on the internet as if those opinions are fact, when they often are just partisan trash.Finance…. Don’t follow the news during the legislative sessions? This is NO phuquin’ secret of what Branstad/Reynolds and the Iowa GOP has in mind. They have been working on iot for more than a decade. They have a “veto-proof” legislature……,and a public has has its heads up their asses. You a rat as though one can find “the quote” that proves his point……..when actually those living here have seen it happening every day for years. How do you quote a decade? How can you link it?I don't follow Iowa politics. I simply responded to a post that provided no basis, and was asking for some basis. It may be….but Northern, I know you and yours are real big on those who “flip-flop”….and Iowa Republicans have staunchly advocated maintaining the state of Iowa’s current retirement pension system for its state employees. OR, would this “flip-flop” be regarded as “well, that’s different” BECAUSE REPUBLICANS advocate the change? Lord help us Dems if Chet Culver of Vilsack would have ever attempted this. That's worth exploring.
This makes as much sense as saying we should go back to the mass unemployment of the Trump presidency.20% year over year inflation for the Biden-Kamala presidency.
Got any evidence to support your post?
Then why do you interject?I don't follow Iowa politics. I simply responded to a post that provided no basis, and was asking for some basis. People post opinions on the internet as if those opinions are fact, when they often are just partisan trash.
There's an Iowa Senate candidate named Dawn Driscoll that is campaigning on her vote to increase teacher pay...while she voted to reduce support to the AEAs.I suppose kim can eliminate free and reduced school lunches, reduce unemployment checks to two weeks max, terminate all DNR employees, and cut teacher pay to make up shortfalls.
