When your QB 1B is a turnover machine, you have enough data to move #3 up to 1B. DH needs to shift to OL or DL.
I cannot fathom Deacon the Hut getting even one more rep at Iowa. I'm now physically ill. Time to put GOIA on ignore until late summer, tomorrows opening day!
KF’s philosophy is similar to justifying paying a student tutor who has failed a lot of classes to teach other students simply because he has more college experience taking classes.
Kirk should be relieved of his duties right now with who he has as the 2nd string QB...what a complete CLOWN of a coach!

As a QB, I would if they had a competent QB coach. Great Defense. Solid ST. TEs. RBs. Typically good OL.if you were a stud QB in the portal, would you consider going to Iowa?
Iowa has the makings but needs to pull it together.
If you stack-ranked the position coaches and their rooms over the last 10 years, the QB room would come in a distant last place.
I get it when people talk about recruiting at the QB position, but when those kids get into the program they go sideways at best - unless they have a real talent. We can all name the few guys that fit in that envelope.
It is frustrating to see most all of the other positions so very well developed, other than the most prominent and important position on the team. QB.
Its maddening.
I don't understand what the block is. These kids, like other limited specialists (K, P), NEED continuous coaching on campus and out of season because of the expectations and importance of their roles. Its why they go to QB and Specialists camps in the summer. There really aren't any TE, DL, LB or DB camps that players can go out to in order to hone their game. Those positions are expected to be coached from within their respective programs.
Iowa has a good QB guy with Tim, and my hope is that they take some fo the $$$ once spent on their now-new WR coach and plunk it back into the offense in a supporting role for the OC.
P Parker has the D down to a science through years and years of learning and perseverance. Special teams has developed well over the course of time. Offense needs support and investment to evolve and compliment the stronger areas of the team.
I think Iowa is leaning this way, but it's time to pony up for now and the future.

It is insane to think anyone has a starting spot or a number 2 spot at this point. It is spring ball for heavens sake. Now come August we will have an idea on what kind of order they are arriving at. I mean between now and the end of fall camp people will come, people will go, people will get banged up. So just sit back and watch how things play out.
in June Cade is expected to be fully cleared
I really hope Marco rises to QB2 and James rises to QB3 and Deacon gets the hint
Somehow Deacon was rated a 3 star QB coming out of high school.
Cade was a 4 star coming out of high school.
This is Cades' 6th year in college, too. Crazy.

One of the ways to deal with a fans dislike of Hill QBing the offense is to just watch the highlights on you tube and depending on how the offense did if you DVR the game just watch the defense and maybe watch the offense
