Iowa will not face UNO in Iowa City this weekend, says the series will now be Sat-Sun-Mon in a location to be determined. I personally hope they scrap the Tuesday game vs Coe due to these changes.

They'll play in either Witchita or Omaha. I could see them scrapping Tuesday's game only if they sweep. A cupcake like that is a nice opportunity to throw some of the younger guys and build their confidence.

Looks like it's Wichita...

Sat-1pm
Sun-1pm
Mon-10am

I just don't like the idea of playing Coe on Tuesday then starting Big Ten play on Friday. Just my two cents...

Apparently because of the playing surface in Iowa City? I find it odd, wasn't our field resurfaced two years ago?

Anyways, Wichita will be much nicer, about 15 degrees warmer than Iowa City.

The Hawks lost to that cupcake last year so I wouldn't go putting the cart before the horse just yet (if you were referring to UNO. If Coe, then never mind)

No, no, I meant Coe. UN-O certainly showed last year they won't simply roll over.

The playing surface was redone. One cannot realistically expect the grass to be adequate when it snowed last week, that's simply inconceivable.

I believe Wichita has an artificial infield, and so should tolerate adverse weather a bit better.

UNO did take a midweek game from Iowa last year. I have faith our weekend pitching staff can get Iowa two and hopefully three wins this weekend.
