I thought it was weird that several of our upperclassmen opted out this season. Even with COVID, why not play?

I thought it was weird that several of our upperclassmen opted out this season. Even with COVID, why not play?

I think they had to commit before anyone knew whether there was going to be a season at all. That meant putting their lives on hold. They wanted to avoid missing out on an opportunity (whatever it may have been), and then there maybe not even be a season.

I believe UNI had a couple of senior opt-outs also, which was part of their sub-par season.
