This isn't for the game, but a matter of comparison of schedules.

Northwestern has beaten: Ranked Stanford at home, a blowout vs EIU, A road win vs Duke, a close call vs Ball State, and Minnesota

Iowa has beaten: FCS, At Iowa State, Pitt, A blowout vs North Texas, a road win vs a ranked Wisconsin.

Coming into the season, neither team had high expectations or poll spots. The difference. Northwestern is 9 spots ahead of Iowa. I would actually argue that Iowa's schedule has been harder. I am starting to agree pre season polls are stupid. Now no, I'm not arguing the world is against Iowa, and if we take care of Illinois, and Northwestern we will sky, just interesting to see how inconsistent the polls are.

Stanford is a million times better than anyone that we've played yet. Also, Duke is way better than Iowa State.
A million times better? I believe their best win is over a USC team that lost at home to the Washington Huskies last night.

I don't think we can claim a more difficult schedule yet. Stanford is their best win, Wisconsin is ours. Stanford appears better. Pitt may be better than Duke. Minnesota has looked really bad, but Iowa State would have needed to beat Toledo to make an argument there. Ball State is better than North Texas. I would give Illinois State the edge over EIU.

ISU needs to win some games to help the perception of our schedule. I think Pitt will do their part.

You don't watch football or understand anything about it if you don't understand how much better Stanford is than any team that we've played.
I watch football and have a little bit of knowledge and I can understand both arguments. Could you please explain why Stanford is much better than wiscy or Pitt?

you don't understand math if you don't realize how much a million times better is
In using stupid hawk's logic. NW beat Stanford by 10, so they are 10 million times better.
USC lost by 10 to Stanford, so they are 100 million times worse than NW.
I think I got it. Oh wait, I have question.
Where does this leave Washington in your logical mind since they beat USC?

I would also like to hear why Stanford is so good. Because they were ranked preseason? Because they were good three years ago? Nothing against Northwestern, but why do so many fans on this board want to take away from what we've accomplished? Wisky and Pitt were both incredible defenses and we had two ugly/beautiful wins. Northwestern beat Stanford, who it's looking like will be a middle of the pack Pac-12 team.

Anyway, it gets decided next weekend. So I'll shut up.

Stanford middle of the PAC? They're 3-0 in conference, with 2 wins on the road.

Good stuff right here. Stanford sitting at 3-0 and at top of the Pac12............is looking like they will be a middle of the pack Pac-12 team. Yes they haven't played the best Pac12 teams but I would love to know what glasses you are looking through on that statement.

Duke leading ACC.

I think we have both beat some decent teams but would definitely say Northwestern has beat the better schedule to date.

Why did I think they lost a game? I stand corrected.

See above, already said I was wrong about Stanford. Somehow I was thinking they were 3-2 with a conference loss.

Both teams are probably ranked about where they should be, and it'll get decided on the field.

jNW is playing over their heads.
Meatchicken exposes them this weekend.
Schedule is what it is. Just beat who is in front of you.
Tired of the old schedule arguement. They have a nice win and so do we. Let's just settle this next weekend

Not only has Northwestern played a tougher schedule so far than Iowa, it has arguably a Top 5 resume right now. Does that mean they will be a top five team at the end of the year? Probably not. However, I challenge anyone to give me five schools with a better resume than them.

That does not mean we are not gonna kick the crap out of them next week. I really like this Hawkeye team.

I'll also say this. How are they an 8 point underdog to Michigan? I am definitely taking them and the points. I think Michigan definitely looks good, but 8 points is way too high.

Go Hawks!

Look at all the teams ranked ahead of NW and you'll find at least 5 with a better resume.

Stanford won at Oregon St., who got crushed by Michigan, and will probably end up winning 3-4 games this whole year, and at USC, who clearly isn't who they used to be, and will probably only end up winning 7-8 games this year. Plus, so far Pac-12 road teams are 9-2, so no one is really holding home court so far out there.

And the ACC is pretty below average every year, so I don't think saying they are leading the conference means much. The only good team they have played is NW and they lost. Duke has beaten GT at home, who will probably win 6-7 games this year, and BC at home, who might win 5-6 games

What a lazy answer. And you are incorrect. If it's so easy, name 5. You can't!!!
I don't really care, it's a subjective answer anyways. Why don't you just say who does? It won't matter after the next 2 weeks when they will have 2 losses and nobody is talking about them anymore.
