Matt McDonough does a real good job. He's knowledgeable and enthusiastic, just like Ironside. And just like Ironside, he's a Hawkeye Legend who also happens to be an Iowa Wrestling Fan, which clearly shows during the broadcast, IMO.

Than I guess I would say both of you need to learn how rankings are done.
He said as a team Iowa is overrated at #2 and I agree with that. In fact, if you lay out what they have compared to what some other teams have you probably agree too.
Now if you're asking about individual rankings off the top of my head I'd say Clark finishes second or third this year not #1. Sorensen finishes 3-4 not #2. I don't think Meyer is top 6 like Flo has him and Stoll may be a bit high until we see how he responds after injury.
How many times, in how many threads are you going to make your feelings known...on another team's board? Please let us know so we can pace ourselves (or put you on ignore).
Am I to assume you feel Iowa is the second best team in the nation right now? Rankings are pretty much opinion, nothing more...nothing less. So what's your opinion?
Nope. Flo has OK State and Iowa 1-2 right now. There's at least one team (PSU) that should be top 2 but isn't quite yet. So the meet yesterday has nothing to do with my opinion.
I would give psu the #1 ranking right now, but that doesn't mean Iowa is over ranked at #2. We shall see...

I'm glad to hear that Ironside is still on the broadcast team, I didn't know anything for sure, but if he did take a leave it would be understandable as he has a young family, business, etc. I sure hope he doesn't step away though...although McD did a nice job from what I heard before snoozing.

I assumed you were aware that the individual rankings, actually culminate to form a team ranking. Maybe you don't know that since you've probably only been following wrestling for about six years. If you adjust iowas ranking, based off your clearly amateur and biased opinion, Iowa would possibly fall to number three. Does that really fit the term "overrated", or are you just failing, at trying too hard to be a di*k!
Man, maybe I missed something but Jtown usually isn't trolling around in here. He has an opinion and thinks we aren't #2. Does anybody in here really believe PSU will finish 3 or worse? If not are you comfortable saying we will beat both of the OSU's? I don't know how the hell we beat OKie St. We have to overperform with two #1's and a #2, that is sure going to be hard to overperform those seeds, that means we are relying on others in some ridiculously deep weights. I love my Hawks but every year we think we are 1st or 2nd and have not ended up there more than I would like.
You're a realist and honest with the way you see things. I'm shocked they even let you in this joint. As for my being labeled a Troll, it is what it is.
We largely have been a highly ranked team from a dual perspective for a good stretch, so I guess you have to differentiate from Dual or Tournament component.
Clearly from an NCAA Tournament point scoring format perspective we've been dog doo-doo. I believe the large majority of the realists here are fully aware and have clearly stated that. IMO.
My heart says we're #1 every year. My mind says 2nd-5th, then my heart tells my brain to shut the f*ck up.
He's been banned at least once. His true colors always shines through. He will keep escalating his jabs towards Iowa until he is shown the door again. I am not saying his current posts are ban worthy but he can only contain himself for so long.
It is a really dumb argument. Of course we don't look like #2. We have a #1 and another highly rated guy out. Duh. No one thinks the team that took the mat last night can finish 2nd.
