The Iowa women may have finished T2 in the regular season, but they led the conference in an awful lot of stats. They were on top in all the usual Offensive categories, mainly Total Points, Assists, and 3-Point FG %. But they improved this year in Defense and Rebounding. They led the Big Ten in Opponent FG %, Opponent 3-Point FG %, and Rebounding Margin. That has probably never happened before. And no surprise, they led the conference in both Home Attendance and Road Attendance.

There is still room for improvement in FT shooting and Offensive Rebounds. Total Defense also, but that is partly a function of their pace of play. All in all, a great season so far.

Total Offense -- 89.2 -- 1st
Total Defense -- 73.2 -- 8th
Margin -- 16.0 -- 1st
Team FG % -- 52.7 -- 1st
Opp FG % -- 40.3 -- 1st
Team 3-Point % -- 38.3 -- 1st
Opp 3-Point $ -- 28.7 -- 1st
Team FT % -- 74.5 -- 9th
Team Offensive Rebounds -- 9.3 -- 11th
Team Defensive Rebounds -- 30.2 -- 1st
Rebounding Margin -- 7.4 -- 1st
Assists -- 22.2 -- 1st
Assist/TO Ratio -- 1.45 -- 1st

A couple of stat observations:

From a team offensive perspective, the only meaningful area where the team took a step backward this year was at the free throw line.

Iowa shot 84.6% at the line last season, an NCAA record. This year Iowa shot 75.3% at the line, good enough for 8th place in the league. The decline is Stuelke, but not only her. CC shot 88% last year; 84% this year; Monika 84% last year; 78% this year (though 82% in conf. play); Warnock 83% last year; 80% this year. Hoping CC and Monika can be money at the line in the post-season.

Monika shot 70.3% from the field in conference play, only the second time a player with 100 attempts shot 70%+. Unfortunately, with a couple of tough games at the finish, Monika did not beat the existing 70.7% conference record held by Brionna Jones.
