sad thing is that the last two road games were not played in tough atmospheres. Less than half full arenas in both. Lifeless crowds in both. Iowa shit their pants in both.

15 years in and the same problems that will keep Fran coached teams from making a sweet 16 still repeat. Perimeter defense and rebounding issues is tiring. The team doesn’t look to be fully buying in on his system this year, until the home fans egg them on to… try to play defense.
So sure, they could barely slide into the tournament this year. But it’s not going to be more than one tournament win, and I’m doubtful a team that looked completely non competitive on what, 3 games now, is going to be dancing.
If the Iowa fan base is back on board with Fran after beating Minnesota, then it’s clear the Iowa fan base doesn’t get it.
