I care to an extent... if we are ranked after this weekend or next it means we're winning. A # next to your team name increases program visibility, and presumably it can aid recruiting (yeah, no proof on that but it seems logical). If you're in one week and out the next it may not help, I think the Hawks need to establish top 25 staying power. And while being ranked in itself does not mean sh*t on gameday, it's a reach to say there is some negative to having that status. As a side note, the CFP committee ultimately does a good job of digging way deeper than rankings when they release their top 25.

I’m expecting lots of top 25 upsets and losses. Could very well happen that we get ranked Sun.

Va Tech, Michigan, Michigan St, Texas, NC State, Florida, Oklahoma St, Colorado, Kentucky could all very well lose to competitive opponents on Saturday, not to mention some top 10 caliber upsets are on the table too.

Unless Wisconsin wins twice and we don't lose again it really doesn't matter. Season is pretty much over as far as playing for anything meaningful. I'm just planning on enjoying each game on a weekly basis and maybe they will get lucky. Although my sports luck has been awful the last 3 weeks so I'm not getting my hopes up.
