CRUZ #26 vs UR worked mostly his sweep style single. I think he reaches TWOOOO much on them but will work mostly against low level guys. Did not get Tech give him the 8-3 good comeback win after a bad loss

PETERSON UR vs 11 went zeros in first which was good, fought off back after getting turned with figure 4 leg ride, over matched 65

Schriever UR vs UR gave up 1st TD off shrug to leg attack but got quick escape. He got to his O and a TD but was somewhat surprise to see him cut kid? went to a TUFF ride in third earning RT which won him the match 85

PARCO 2 vs UR was a little sloppy at start but guessing he was not really worried- got to his good offense and turns easy win 95

ESTRADA UR vs 6 Hand fighting hard but gave up a TD on a nice post style shot, got an escape which was nice work. Started 2nd on bottom and again good work to get escape. Started on top 3rd but could not ride, started pushing pace and got a stall call but could not generate any real O from feet. 75

CALIENDO #2 vs UR Quick TD went for a turn and kinda got out of position, gave up a TD on a spin move which may have woke him up??? Got to his GOOD STUFF 90

KENNEDY #6 vs UR Hand fighting to middle of 1 before first TD, went to work some on top wore kid down, played TD game 91

ARNOLD 5 vs 11 Most competitive match of the day, a lot of hand fighting in 1st- good shot very late and ran out of time. Would have liked to see that earlier. Quick escape start 2, no more scoring, top start 3 gave up quick escape. seemed to me he was chasing kid all over the mat finally getting the stall call with 20 seconds left!!!, OT saw much of the same, maybe kid saved himself with a couple of 1/2 shots? Good work in TB rounds with quick escape and then TUFF ride for win 93

BUCHANAN #1 vs UR THIS is more what I think you want to see from TOP guys, Total miss match and domination 100!!!!

KRUETER 11 vs 12 Good shot /work end 1 for TD, would like to see more of this early!!! Quick escape start 2, Top to start 3 and gave up pretty fast escape, thought he might be able to ride??? Got in scramble and gave up TD, stayed COOL and wrestled smart to get late escape and win! 90+

VERY nice MAT good size

Good crowd which seemed mostly IOWA!!!

Announcers were a little off at times but tried hard!

Buchannon will be wrestling under the
Lights in March. Dominates all 3 positions and has a serious set of lungs. Need no reason ayala and teemer can’t get there as well. Let’s get to March healthy - we got some hammers that can put Iowa back on the map.

Not giving Gabe a good grade. This is the 2nd match now in which he really struggled trying to get a TD. These 2 matches make it look shaky that he will make the podium in March.
Right there with ya, especially considering he didn't wrestle last night. He needed to come out firing today.

Hate to say, but he's looked a whole lot like Nelson Brands the past 2 matches.

Smith was allowed to do the Sun Devil boogie woogie on the edge the whole match. The referree warned him about 10 times but didn't put a stop to it. Gabe, with a different ref, wrestle in the middle, and Gabe wins by a couple of takedowns.

The ref pretty much told them he wasn't going to call another stalling. You could hear him say "earn it" when they went out of bounds for the 10th time or so.

Fair point on ARNOLD, I gave him a good grade because it was a ranked opponent and as was pointed out. Kid stalled most of match. That being said, he TUFFed out the win and never looked in trouble. Could easily give him a lower grade depending on how you look at it?

Also tough to wrestle someone who is so familiar with you.

The norm for Nationals is that the refs REALLY swallow their whistles then.
^^^^
GA's last two matches should make everyone nervous, but because of his dad's interactions on this forum, I doubt many posters want to publicly say it.
The logjam at 174/184 is unfortunate.

I do not believe Arnold's last TWOOOO matches were his best. That being said, there could be many factors and I do not believe his Dad cares very much about ALL us dumb posters!!!

My guess is, his Dad knows what everyone else knows, and that is. This kid can go toe to toe with ANYONE!!! He has the strength, speed, agility, toughness!!! Plus he is hard to score on and very good on bottom. You put that all together and you have a TOP guy!!!

My hope is next year he can be the guy at 174! I have no clue about his weight and if he is cutting right now, but I think his frame would be better suited there and he would be a FORCE!!!
