57-34 at half... Clark needs 3 rebounds and 6 assists for the triple double. Goodman in for a couple of minutes. Don't know how much time Clark gets in the second half. Seems like we should see way more bench...
There is a Caitlin Clark Triple Double WARNING being issued entering the 4th quarter.

a few early minutes but got benched in favor of goodman and stuelkeNo O'Grady today?
Iowa won 102-71 over an overmatched Wisky team. I suspect that the team was quite motivated after our last loss. Czinano was 9-10 from the field after going 2-4 against NC State. McCabe going 2-3 from 3 point last was nice.Am at wrestling meet. Very limited internet.. score?
Sorry but Clark gets moooore than her fair share of coverage from ESPN. She's one of their darlings (and rightfully so most of the time). It's just a bit cringeworthy when the headlines are about her statlines even when Iowa loses.ESPN has no mention of Clark's performance...not even on their NCAAW's page.
But we're suppose to listen to them on becoming a equal society. They'd literally break into coverage if this was Lebron.
It's really starting to feel like the backup 5 position is being mismanaged. Goodman looked good today, but hasn't played in a while and played less than 5 minutes in this one. O'Grady keeps playing a few minutes only and never has time to get a rhythm. Stuelke might be the short-term answer, but again is only playing it a few minutes at the 5.a few early minutes but got benched in favor of goodman and stuelke
And then there's our fifth (yes, fifth) center off the bench -- Ediger -- with an assist, rebound, and steal in just 3 minutes of play. It's certainly a conundrum. It's really starting to feel like the backup 5 position is being mismanaged. If we want the backup 5 to do anything more than fill space later in the season, the coaches are going to have to pick 1 or 2 options and stick with them. O'Grady was an asset off the bench last year, but we're not getting that same production from any option so far this year.

I really feel like Bluder is riding the starting 5 this season, and next year we will have CC and a completely inexperienced team around her. Even against NC St when three of the starters did nothing for a vast majority of the game, they played. It's really starting to feel like the backup 5 position is being mismanaged. Agree if the current pattern continues. I'm hopeful she's "saving" Stuelke (bringing her along slowly) for the meat of the Big10 season. There is no reason she shouldn't be playing more.I really feel like Bluder is riding the starting 5 this season, and next year we will have CC and a completely inexperienced team around her.
