That was the Dembele I thought we would see this season after he looked good last year.
Pryce should end up better than Payton. Can finish better around rim with both hands, little bit better handles, not the brain fart passes, little bit better athlete.
Harding's stat line, 13 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 of 2 at the line, 1 turnover, not bad for a in your mind, a non D1 player.
And most of all the first win on the road, that should at least allow Iowa into the Big Ten tournament in a disappointing season.

Is Pryce the best player on the team at getting to the rim?
I'd say Thelwell is probably better but Pryce is sneaky with the long strides.
I like his game so much better than Payton's.

Him, Ladji, and Pryce all turned in pretty good games. Nice group effort.

Probably his best overall game. HIs first half wasn't good, missed a couple of bunnies and air balled a couple. But he didn't hurt the team.
One road win shouldn't make up for a lost season without a NCAA tournament appearance. Iowa will make up for this win with a blowout loss in the Big Ten tournament. Yes it will happen for sure. Fran needs to go....
Perfect representation of how the outside noise is a real thing. You can just see the affect it has had on the coaches and players.

Rutgers is an enigma for me. Their talent is levels above Iowa. Yet, Iowa rolls into The Rac and gets a win. Rutgers fan has to be really disappointed with where there are at right now.

Iowa has the point shooting that opens lanes to the basket. Rutgers does not have a rim protector. It was a good night for driving to the basket.

Yes, but I think Rutgers is poorly coached. They very easily could've controlled the game tonight and didn't.
Iowa needs language in their contracts that when the coach reaches the age they start crying they have to retire.
100%. Possibly 2 of the top 5 picks in the draft? Happy for the Hawks in an otherwise dismal season. Harding was really really good in all aspects Peyton kept his head for the most part and Dix was really good. Best game of the season for Dembele and Pryce played a nice last 7 minutes.

yeah, I agree. If it was a national championship or a conference championship game, but judas priest it was another bottom feeder team. But I think he was emotional because he knows it is about over. just my take.
We played hard against Purdue, we played hard against Wisconsin, and we played with consistent effort tonight. We have some very legitimate reasons to question some of our coaching decisions but they deserve credit for not losing the team when they could have with the injuries and blowouts. The guys off the bench have given us positive minutes the last few games and it shows we have some depth.
Already better imo Payton just plays more.
It's interesting how they play at opposite speeds. One is out of control half the time while the other moves at a slow deliberate pace.
I think we punched our ticket to Indianapolis tournament as not being one of the 3 suckiest teams in B1G.
The center by committee is working out okay because the 3 of them play harder on defense/rebounding then when it was the Freeman show. Freeman was the better player, but Fran had him focused on scoring on run outs after made baskets and and being focal point of team offense, and defense/rebounding suffered.

Rumor around CB is that Dix’s mom is very ill. Hoping things look up for him and his family and selfishly hoping he doesn’t move closer to home to play for the Bluejays.
