The point is, he doesn't need a break from exhaustion or only 9 matches....he needs a break because he's hurt and the accumulation of 20 years of wrestling. Some might even say that athletes peak after a series of hard workouts followed by rest as big events or post season begins....it's not about the 9 matches smarty pants

Max’s next three matches are very important for seeding. Gomez, Gfeller and Lovett.
It’s most likely that Gomez ducks Murin. Gomez is undefeated in the BT at this point. If he ducks Murin, and wins at Illinois next week, he will be undefeated in the BT. Wisky doesn’t wrestle PSU, Michigan or Ohio State in a dual meet this season. Essentially, Gomez has the BT #2 seed locked up, if he doesn’t wrestle Max. Gomez beat Lovett, Yahya and Blockhus. If Murin beats Lovett, his wins are basically the same. Max would have losses to Sasso and the Lehigh guy. Gomez’s only loss is to Heil of Campbell.
Gomez has Yanni on Feb. 20th, I doubt we see this match either.
I hope I am wrong about this because it’s bad for wrestling.

The seniors didn't speak. They just announced them, hugged the coaches and staff, and everybody clapped and that was that.

Probably a solid 7-8k stuck around, really nice to see.

It was nice to hear DeSanto was enrolled in the Masters program. I am one fan who is really proud of what he has accomplished. All the people who doubted the Brands Brothers could help him with his autism and the inherent difficulties. They were sadly mistaken.

AD went to the right school and has earned his rewards, with more to come. I didn’t hear of one instance off the mat where he got in trouble. He’s not perfect just like the rest of us.
For this fan, it’s been real satisfying to watch his progress as a student athlete.
