Just won Nebraska Gatorade player of the year. Also was invited to compete in the girls high school 3 point contest in New Orleans. Just thought some of you might wanna know. She is going to be a very very good addition for the hawks. Deadly and quick release from the 3

The All Iowa Attack will be well represented on the Hawkeye’s roster for the next few seasons..,

“Though McCabe is new to the program, she has transitioned well, and was in the starting lineup the past two tournaments.”

“Playing with All Iowa Attack, which has multiple future Hawkeyes, also gave McCabe an idea of what college could be like, and that played a big factor in her decision.”

“McCabe will already be familiar with her teammates when she arrives in Iowa City. McCabe played this summer for All Iowa Attack, one of the top AAU girls basketball teams in the country.“

I have not seen her play in person but a buddy who coached local select girls teams for 15-20 years has a number of times. As he has shared, great touch, quick release, average quickness, excellent court awareness. He likens her to a smaller Kate Martin with a lot better stroke and touch but lacking in defensive skills at the D1 level.

Watch her tape, no resemblance to Kate Martins game.

Defense at Iowa...optional.

What plays do they show in recruits tapes----their best plays. Have you seen her play in person? This is a coach's opinion who has helped with the development of 6-8 girls who have played D1 basketball. Please post your resume.

I’ve watched numerous tapes on McCabe regarding her AAU career supplied by Stuelkes dad on his website. His name is Michael Mantz. I might not be a coach but I can categorically say I see no resemblance between Martins game and McCabes.

This was the best film from last summer that I saw online, and I tried to watch most of them. the other team is all top 30 ESPN kids from the southeast (team out of Georgia I think). the big girl (#5)won the MCDAAG slam dunk contest last week. As an Iowa fan I watch this game at least 1x/week in anticipation of these 3 girls, and hopefully Saraha W, coming to Iowa. it is basically a mid-major college game that was played last summer, and Attack came out on top at the end.

#14 - Stuehlke
#23 - Gyamfi
#12 - McCabe
#32 - Sahara W

#16 committed to Arizona
#32 and #5 to S. Carolina
#0 to Florida State
#23 is the top junior in the country this year
#40 is a top 15 junior in the country (espn)

After watching this video, I've lowered my expectations on our 3 recruits, at least for next year.

When watch them play, Sahara always seems to stand out a bit, I think Iowa could use her skillset.

Long ways between high school and what they are in college, but Iowa under Bluder -- with the exception of Clark -- has signed a type of player. Very skilled offensively, knows how to play, but not very athletic or quick. They could use an influx of athleticism, to be sure.

Halli Poock from West Waterloo; will graduate in 2023.
I’ve asked this once before, but didn’t get an answer. Is she related to Glenda Poock who was one of the big 6 on 6 scorers in the 70s and from that neck of the woods (Maynard)?
