Iowa Wrestling recruiting is on a roll

I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt whenever possible, but what I learned from my military leadership roles is the person at the top always bears some responsibility. This is reality regardless of who’s at fault.

You may be right, but the thing that sticks in my head is Cox missing weight due to arriving late for weigh in. Absolutely no excuse for KJ on that one.
What blocked Cox from coming sooner than later?

We get kids every year that aren't "star studded recruits". Every year. You need them to fill out a roster and work out the Starters. You might get lucky and one or more of them catches fire once in the room, which isn't super likely, but we absolutely need those guys. The recruiting isn't done.

Not sold on Keuter? If he were a 157 lber trying to play Football too, I'd be more concerned. But he's a HWT. in waiting and going to be a damn good one, IMO. When and if he starts making All-American Teams as a Linebacker or Tight End as a Sophomore, my concern will grow then with NFL dollars in his eyes, but not until then.
I agree with everything you said. I’m trying to temper my expectations with Keuter is all.

Not sold on Keuter as Cass’s successor and the rest of the in-state kids while certainly capable of developing into productive Hawkeyes, they aren’t quite the star studded recruits this program needs to continue winning national titles.

They only reason I worry about Kueter is football. Otherwise, he is going to be a monster at HWY due to his athletic skills and scoring mentality. At Junior Duals, had a few "How da fook did he do that" moments.

it would be nice to see how he stacks up at super 32 but he just withdrew from the tournament, so did aiden riggins and jesse mendez.

I’m still trying to figure out who Willie was talking about on first word when he asked a recruit a couple weeks ago that if he had to decide today where would he go? Answer was PSU or tOSU. He asked him again a few days after his Iowa visit and the the recruit said Iowa is gonna be really tough to beat.

Barr Mendez or Arnold hopefully. 1 or two of those guys would be amazing!!!

Willie & Corby a few weeks ago said he was a huge PSU lean. That it was a his dream school.
He made a list a while ago it was psu vt and a third school maybe nc could be wrong on that one but he was really high on vt. Guess things can change.

There was a kid from Fresno State that AA'd in Wrestling not that long ago, and is on the 49'ers practice squad I think. And I don't think he had Kueters pedigree to this point. Time will tell.

And Franklin is teammates with Arnold too. Both would be great gets. A little less optimistic on Arnold because he seems to be very close with Stewart who I don't think Iowa is in on.
Again him and Stewart are a package deal!!! Been said for a while!!

From what I have heard is that Mendez was leaning PSU-Ohio St. So hoping this is who they were talking about

I know who that was im not into taking the spotlight away from the kid. Once he does commit somewhere I will post who it was

Kid you are talking about it Josh Hokit. He was a 197lber and had a win over JWar. He may have wrestled 1 season at Hwt, IIRC. Plays FB for the 9ers I believe
