Iowa's baseball roster....

Something tells me there may be a lot of shake ups between now and the start of the real season. The new roster lists 11 junior college players with no numbers assigned yet plus 1 additional transfer from Villanova.

The JuCo guys come from all over....DMACC, Iowa Central, Indian Hills, BlackHawk to East Los Angeles CC

An interesting player is Will Polley who comes from Parkland Junior College. Polley originally was at Nebraska where he picked Nebraska over Kentucky, Louisville, and Missouri.

Jake Riffice is from Sierra CC and it appears he was originally going to go to Indiana State.

Tyler Radtke is the Villanova transfer, he had some nice stats in 2012 in only 9 games as a pitcher.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this all plays out with 11 JuCo's and 1 DI transfer being added to the roster plus 5 high school guys.

Is Heller going to clean house and tell some of Dahm's guys their services are no longer needed?

There's gonna be some competition as there are 42 guys for 35 spots. There has already been some attrition as Anthony Torres has transferred.

Where did Torres go? I always liked what he brought to the table offensively. However, for some reason it seemed that Jack Dahm rarely played him until last year with the season was down the toilet and he did some good things on offense.

The fall schedule is intriguing to me beause they are playing two games in a week. Now, this isn't quite like the regular season but I think we'll get a better idea of where the pitching staff is at after a few weeks of practice.

I thought Pena was going to be solid, and Zach Burdi wasn't listed either.

Burdi is headed to Louisville according to his twitter and Pena's twitter says he's committed to Iowa.

I will take my chances with Heller. Dahm recruited a lot of players that should've been solid in the last 7-8 years and the results just weren't there.

I haven't gotten any concrete info on Pena. He committed to Iowa yet isn't in Iowa City. To add to it, I saw just last week Iowa Baseball retweeted him. I don't have any idea what is going on. Burdi will be a sophomore at Louisville this upcoming season.

Good to see they have Joe Walsh on the roster, should have some good tunes on road trips, thought he might be a little old but so be it.
