Iowa has a better year overall and obviously, Noah Fant becomes an All-American. Noah's true sophomore stats are better than Oklahoma's Mark Andrews who is a redshirt junior (#2 TE NFL prospect ahead of Wisky's TE Troy Fumagalli). Andrews benefits from a weak defensive league and having Heisman Trophy winner (whiner) Baker Mayfield. Iowa's history of Marv Cook, Dallas Clark, Tony Moeaki, and many other TEs that made in to the NFL should help his candidacy for AA. Noah could probably project as a early 2nd round to mid first rounder as QBs, DEs, OTs, CBs and WRs go first, more often than TEs.

Iowa most likely has another AA at Center in returning (fingers crossed) James Daniels. Daniels is the prototype mold the NFL like in its centers. Smart, tough, physical and able to play guard (size) in a line pinch. Daniels has played since a true freshman and impress from the beginning.

Iowa could garner a third AA if Iowa has a fantastic year. My underappreciated AA potential candidate is Miguel Recinos. Strong leg, 55 made out of 57 attempts. I really hate seeing guys from non Power 5 win the Lou Groza award due the lack of pressure (close games/ overtime wins) and environments (bring the two Utes (Utah and Utah State kickers) into Kinnick in late November. The wind in Kinnick would be a good test. Time Nate Kaeding had a fellow Hawkeye's name on that award. Go Hawks!

Fant might be a decent bet. It would be beneficial to his case I would think if he got more looks. There were a couple deep routes he had this year that were overthrown that would have helped out his numbers quite substantially.
Unfortunately, IF Todd McShay's prognostications are close to accurate, Daniels could be gone this year. I think i remember seeing on the ESPN bottom line that Daniels was his #2 rated center. Granted, his and Mel Kiper Jr's prognostications can be a crapshoot. I hope James comes back for another year.

Seems likely it would be Daniels if he returns with a good year. Then possibly Fant with a big junior year. Outside chance for Anthony Nelson if he can get 10+ sacks and 20+ tfl.

Daniels 50-50 if he comes back.

I will throw out any ther name: Anthony Nelson. I think he is really learning how to get to the QB. Ideal size. He will be a 3-year starter on next year’s line, which looks to be a damn good line.
