Iron man/Recruiting

I sure at least M* will be there and possibly one or both Brands.

I feel Iowa needs to add a true 49 in the 2018 class. Clearly the staff did also having recruited Berge so hard. Happel, Turk, or Glosser right now will probably take over the spot when BS graduates. Iron man will have the top ranked Juniors at 145 this weekend in Sasso PA, Lewan IL, and Rider CO. I'm hoping Iowa can land one of them.

I fell also that Iowa needs to add another 84 and the coaches clearly thought so going after Falbo and Lyon. Problem is all the top talent at 182 at iron man have already committed. I still like Kordell Norfleet from IL, uncommitted senior.

Adding an elite heavyweight is also a need. No clue where Iowa stands with Gable. I'm sure the staff is gonna try to land him, but Minny or PSU seem to be the front runners. Shultz will be there and landing him would be huge. I'm excited for the opportunity to see him against Singletary. I really hope we can land one of those two guys.

Let's not forget how awesome it will be to see future Hawkeyes SPENCER LEE AND JACOB WARNER!!! I expect both to win and in style. Lee has some good kids in his bracket.

The mystery of Luke Troy. Mystery one he is in the pre-seeds, but there has been talk on this board that he has an elbow injury and a concussion not to long ago. So he may not be wrestling. Mystery two- is he coming to Iowa? Again recent board talk indicated Kister believes he will still be a hawk, but someone said after Luther open a coach indicated he is going a different way. So who really knows if we will see him in Ohio this weekend or next year in Iowa.

Should be a great weekend of wrestling after Iowa brings the pain to ISU Friday.

Hey Chief, I noticed that Quentin Hovis is listed as being from Poway HS. I thought he was from AZ, some catholic school somewhere. Is this a thing? Did Hovis move to San Diego area, or is it a misprint?

True story. Eric Larkin, who was building Seton Catholic into a national power was not getting the type of cooperation from the admin that he was promised. He didn't want the wrestling team to be part of the AIA, instead wanting to be a Blair type. When he left, they lost a lot of kids.

Since the Iowa vs Iowa State dual is Saturday night I doubt that either one of the Brands brothers will attend The Ironman Tournament, but I may be wrong! Go Hawks!

Oh I thought it was Friday. So none of them will be there Saturday. They will all at the meet. I figure one of them will fly out Saturday night or Sunday morning.

True story. Eric Larkin, who was building Seton Catholic into a national power was not getting the type of cooperation from the admin that he was promised. He didn't want the wrestling team to be part of the AIA, instead wanting to be a Blair type. When he left, they lost a lot of kids.

Poway HS - classic Supermodel Stephanie Seymour's HS. Had a college friend who went to high school with her and said Seymour's mom was even hotter. That truly boggled my mind at the time.

Troy is coming to Iowa from what I have heard. They have 2 options with him. He could cut to 149 other grow to 165. A lot depends on The Bull.

I would love to add Sasso but I am pretty sure he is staying East of the Mississippi. I would love to add another 184lber. Schultz will be a Hawkeye but that is down the road a bit. I know he is not a Huge name and just came off of a no so great tournament but their mutual interest in Bryce Esmoil to drop down to 184.
