Just heard an announcer say Freeman has a good chance of being B10 freshman of the year... is that accurate? Am loving the kid, hope he has an amazing career, but there's usually always an uber athletic 5* kid at another school that wins that award

Way ahead of any other Freshman in the Big 10.
Almost a lock at this point. Shows you how much the Big has declined and how transfers have taken over.
It helps there aren't many freshman getting serious minutes in the B1G this season. The league is loaded with fourth and fifth year guys. It's a two man race at the moment between Freeman and Mgbako from Indiana IMO. I think it's obvious Freeman is the frontrunner.

That still isn't a shot at Freeman. He has been really, really good and deserves this award.
I didn't realize how good his offer list was. MSU, Purdue, Indiana, UW, Illinois, OSU, Wake, Marquette, Butler and others.
Freeman's stats on 40 min basis is at an All B1G level. He didn't get a lot of minutes earlier in season so his averages are hurt.
At the moment, he certainly seems like a shoe-in for all-freshmen team - which should easily put him in running for frosh of the year.

Freeman has single handedly saved so many fans from checking out on this Hawkeye team. Hopefully he can inspire the rest of the roster to keep pushing their game.
