With all the issues in the world, I don’t understand why people on this board keep posting transgenders is the only issue in the country. It’s like 500th on my list. They should have the same rights as everyone else,
Because it's a winner! There are 6-10 (some post surgery) boys playing games with girls (not including co-ed) somewhere in the country at any given time! They have no choice but vote Republican to protect women and girls!

They can’t walk back their lunacy because they have already stated loud and proud that if one doesn’t agree one is a bigoted nazi fascist.
If they walk it back and come to terms with reality they are subject to being condemned by their own insane rhetoric.
Social non-acceptance is akin to suicide for many of these people. They value social acceptance so highly. Above reason, above science, above reality.
They will fight tooth and nail to keep the delusion upheld.

where does that put women on your list 600th. Can you see the problem? By the way they have every right as any other citizen. They were either born female or male you can’t change fact but that’s what you want to do. It should worry you wondering how far the Democrat party will go with their lists of identities.
Really a decision that belongs to the sports adjudicating bodies. Not state and federal legislators, who are mostly medically incompetent when it comes to making any decisions like this.
The legislators SHOULD pass legislation that fully enables those bodies to pass science-based rules and limits, though.
Add up all the threads created on trans issues and measure who created them, and you will see which party is playing identity politics.

You know why, it activates people. It's an age old tactic, you take all of the problems of society and focus the blame on a small, powerless group. All of the disappointment and dissatisfaction in society and individuals is funneled into hatred against that small group.
Also, straight up bigotry.
I actually think they could do it quickly. I Don't believe most of them believe any of this stuff deep down anyway. I think the ONLY question they need to answer is whether they'll lose more votes from the extreme left than they'll gain from more moderate voters who have begrudgingly voted Republican or stayed home.
If they aligned to the common sense view on this and other 80/20 issues they'd be forgiven within a month by the media. The "academic elite" may be slower to change tune, but dems marxist messaging of 'eat the rich' and 'free stuff for all' minus the insane crap will garner enough votes out them back in power, IMO.
Even if they'd adopt Bill Clinton policy positions from the 90s they'd probably win elections, especially against Trump/MAGA. Trump, RFK Jr., Musk and Tulsi types were Dems back then, and left due primarily to the insane direction they've gone, not because they didn't have good ideas 25-30 years ago.
