Losses are good. Allows one to refocus/re-evaluate. The pressure on these really good kids is tremendous. Makes you stop Wrestling not to lose and just have fun.

We were warned bashing high school kids (like baby Brands) when they get their asses handed to them is frowned upon around here. If there are exceptions, any chance I can get that list when you have time?
I have to give Carl credit for creating the f** folklore. The kids believe in it, just like they believed that Gable made them Superman. Having said that, and given credit, I hate it. lol

Not really. It is about wrestling and kids are wrestlers. Not too many old geezers still out there wrestling.

Is it weird that these HS tournaments get as much press and often more than college tournaments? Weird that a HS athlete is allowed to post on social media? Is it weird that such a big deal is made about what college they are choosing?
Trying to take some high road that does not exist simply so you can make the invalid point that you are so much better than an Iowa fan. What about the PSU posters that talk about HS wrestling, is that okay, just not here though right?
Funny that you and Lumpy are so concerned all of a sudden about how HS wrestlers are being talked about over here. I think PSU fans are the last ones that should have an opinion on any subject that involves the treatment of minors.
For the record, I like Gavin and hope he does well. 1 loss means nothing to me. If one career loss in your SR year is such a big deal, it means you are a total mat badass.

If you haven’t seen Idiocracy, check it out. The premise by Mike Judge is genius, but it just misses being in the comedy pantheon. If it was a little less uneven, it’s up there with the classics. It’s got several actors from Office Space in it.
