Is the late season swoon a systemic conditioning issue

No physical toughness when the back half of the BT plays out. We get pushed around on the perimeter, we are overplayed on the inside and our perimeter players can’t break anyone down. On top of that our coaching staff can’t figure out they need to change their approach on offense and we know they can’t coach defense. Besides that, we’re all good

Better athletes take over at this time of year. We all love our guys but, they are one of the least athletic teams in the conference. And, it is showing.

I think it’s the make up of the team and also the head man in charge. Fran doesn’t adjust anything during the season, teams are great at scouting and making adjustments. I don’t know why Fran doesn’t alter a starting line up or try a new wrinkle in defense.

I think the # of posters in this forum who think the refs are out to "get" Iowa is a telltale signal of a disconnected fan base. Iowa can't get separation offensively so while I agree Bohannon getting pin balled around should elicit more whistles than it has, poor officiating is not responsible for Iowa's lethargic offense.

Fran tells us incessantly he is an offense first coach so to quote the old Wendy's commercial "Where's the Beef?" The offense shouldn't be AWOL for 1.5 months if we have all these tremendous shooters and multi-position guys. We know Iowa's D is suspect at best and honestly I can live with that IF Fran has some offensive horsepower on the floor to offset bad D. Of late we have seen bad O and D.
I think the Hawks are effected by the physical nature the B1G refs enable more than other teams....just not built for it.

I also think we get pouty and let it effect every aspect of the game. Have to fight through it....every B1G team deals with it.

So deal with it...
