Trump's admin built 50 some miles of new wall. The rest was repair of existing wall, which is also important.

The wall was another grift from the former President. He put as little money into it as he could and found ways to take the rest. As a result, what little of it got built is already falling down. Not to mention it took all about 30 seconds for people to figure out how to get over or through the stupid thing.

It's amazing how this guy has sold a lump of shit to MAGA's and they just won't let it go. Or maybe it's because they don't actually want to solve the problem, just like Republicans don't want to solve the problem. Right now the farthest right border security bill ever conceived is sitting in the Senate waiting to be approved and all Mike Johnson has to do is say they will support it and he refuses to do so as he tries to push the legislation to after the next election (and yes I know that Johnson is in the House but the Senate is trying to get a bill passed that will actually get through the House and approved as well). He can't allow an actual bill to be passed. Republicans won't get a bill with as much stuff as they want as they can right now and they won't take it. So spare me this "Biden won't do anything about border security!!!" As always, it's Republicans standing in the way of progress on anything.

It’s a fact that neither party has completely addressed the border issue. It’s never been solved and if you look at it truthfully, both sides are to blame. This is one opportunity for bi-partisan solutions, but neither side is willing to do that, and that’s a shame.
 
I can fix the border with land mines, gut turrets, snipers, drone strikes, razor wire, napalm, and a moat with crocks. 😎

It's a fact that every time Democrats have put together legislation to address the border issue Republicans have scuttled it. Quit blaming Democrats for things Republicans are doing. This is not a "both sides" thing. This is a Republican caused thing because they need an issue other than how big of assholes can we possibly be to run on in November. If you care about this issue then start holding Republicans accountable for their constant obstruction on this and make them do something about it. Or are you just in the "I need something to hang my hat on other than I just like being an asshole" as your reason to be a Republican?

Biden announced a few months ago he got Mexico to agree to pay for finishing key parts of the wall, but I don’t think we have heard an update since.

Every time Biden said FU to the Far Left, he got major bipartisan wins like Infrastructure, Chips, Inflation Reduction Act, etc.

The fact there has not been an Immigration Bill tells me Biden has not tried hard enough to reach a compromise because he does not want to piss off the Far Left.

I can't fricking stand the Far Left or the Far Right. They are both full of crap. Most of the country is in the Middle but the Middle does not make headlines and attract the big donations.

You know, you actually make a fair point. Thank you. However, right now there is a bill in the Senate that Republican Senators are saying that is better than they would be able to get if Trump were President and Johnson is saying no to it. Those other things weren't immigration. This is an issue that Republicans refuse to solve. Well, enough of them to keep it from happening anyway.
