The wall was another grift from the former President. He put as little money into it as he could and found ways to take the rest. As a result, what little of it got built is already falling down. Not to mention it took all about 30 seconds for people to figure out how to get over or through the stupid thing.

Or maybe it's because they don't actually want to solve the problem, just like Republicans don't want to solve the problem. Right now the farthest right border security bill ever conceived is sitting in the Senate waiting to be approved and all Mike Johnson has to do is say they will support it and he refuses to do so as he tries to push the legislation to after the next election (and yes I know that Johnson is in the House but the Senate is trying to get a bill passed that will actually get through the House and approved as well). He can't allow an actual bill to be passed. Republicans won't get a bill with as much stuff as they want as they can right now and they won't take it. So spare me this "Biden won't do anything about border security!!!" As always, it's Republicans standing in the way of progress on anything.

He's gotten some of them addressed, though. That's more than a lot of Presidents. As it turns out, getting things done while in office is hard, especially when your party doesn't have a massive majority in Congress. It is remarkable that he got as much done as he did.

Northern border is becoming a serious issue too, many stretches of it are wide open and don’t even have markers.
There are small towns that split the border with the US at one end and Canada on the other and it’s never been an issue at all. Until now. The cartels and smugglers are taking notice of this.

What is crazy to me is that we will send $60 billion to Ukraine and give 4.6 billion to Central AAmerican countries to find out why they want to come here while at the same time providing those that come here illegally with free health care and housing them and yet we wouldn’t give 9 billion to continue the border wall. We want to help other countries with their borders but not our own.
