Is there a worse coache in the league?

Agreed, the B1G is much tougher now, at least in recent years. A couple of Alford's teams made runs from low seeds. The 2006 team was seeded #2 and beat #1 Ohio State. A 2-seed and championship game appearance seems very far away right now.
the big ten was a much easier league back when Alfred was coaching . no comparison to what it is now .the only cupcake on the schedule this year is Nebraska . and possibly Michigan State but they still have great athletes.

They were a 3 seed but finished second in conference at 11-5 and completely pissed away a game at NW that would have got them a share of the title if I remember correctly. Then won bten tourney. Total choke job in big dance but I don't think any of Fran's teams have been any better. Close maybe. Alford and Fran were pretty similar with results with Steve being way better in conference tourney and Fran better at ncaa, but that's not saying much with how Steve sucked at the big dance

lol, you're reminding me that while Fran has the February Fade, Alford had those "March situations." Apparently, every Iowa coach has a month every year in which they can't coach. Lickliter, of course, decided to celebrate every month of the year with ineptitude.

The turnover happened because PMac turned and looked at Nunge like he was there for the outlet and then turned and ran.

Yeah that’s what happened  Connor tipped the Reb to Nunge, who was behind Patrick. Patrick didn’t realize Nunge was there and went for the tap. Once Patrick saw Nunge he pulled his hand away and took off down the court. You really think Patrick was wanting the outlet pass with Connor and Jordan there?

I remember this play. I rewound it and looked again. I am pretty sure there were NO guards on that end of the court. PMac was running down court and near Nunge was Murray, I think. Also, what the heck is Fran doing with perkins playing PG for quite a while. I don't think he was even a PG in high school.

There were actually two ball handlers in the back court and one within arms reach of Nunge. Murray wasn’t even in the game. Wieskamp was the 5th player, not pictured.

I was taught in 7th grade to only throw the ball to another player with whom I had made eye contact. As the picture shows, Patrick's head was turned away from Nunge and Connor was four feet away and ready to accept the pass. It was the worst turnover of the day.

The picture above is right after PMac was looking straight at Nunge and then he turned and took off down the court. Nunge did make eye contact with PMac. Fran also got on Patrick after this happened. One of the things that has always bothered me with Iowa is, it seems like there are not designated outlets. Guys will just get it and go. It can be a good thing and a bad thing. Keegan's turnover was a prime example of that.
