I truly believe that if we take care of business vs Nebby, the winner of the IOWA-MSU (pending they win vs PSU)) will make it into the playoffs. Yes, IOWA will be in as this seems obvious now..the loser to play in the ROSE BOWL. Help would be great from Stanford and OKIE ST! I think MSU makes a big surge this week and OSU tumbles..as they should! This situation would be similar to last year with OSU jumping a Big 12 school. The Rose Bowl would take IOWA as the next team in because we would be rated higher than any other Big Ten school. Yes, No, Maybe? I'd like everyone's thoughts.

If Iowa beats Nebby and loses to MSU in the title game (assuming MSU goes to the playoffs), I believe the winner of the Michigan - Ohio State game will be ranked higher than us and thus get the Rose.
Earlier I thought the Rose was out of the picture if we lost the B1G Championship, but the more I think about it, the more I am confident that we will do NO WORSE than the Rose if we beat Nebraska for the reason you've talked about. Especially considering the Spartans beat the undefeated.], defending national champs on the road, and their loss to Nebraska came down to a referee error. I think the committee takes that into consideration.

Yes. yes. yes. I agree. Iowa/MSU win this week, winner of BIG 10 Champ to FINAL 4...loser to ROSE.
If Rose is choosing between Iowa and OSU do you think they factor in the potential excitement of the fan base to attend the game? I mean Iowa will be elated and for OSU anything less than playoffs is a disappointment
