When I looked, it appears he is not. But I may have missed it. If he isn't, are they reserving scholarships for others, and making up it up to him with NIL money? He certainly seems worthy of a scholarship. Whether he plays WR or is limited to kick returning and punt returning, he's a valuable player for Iowa. With money coming in from different sources, it's hard to keep up with it.

I don't understand why we wouldn't give scholarships to all 105 roster spots. Surely it's going to turn into a situation where some of our competitors do so and we have to follow suit to keep up, right? Why not just do it pre-emptively? There is enough money generated to do so, right? Can someone help me understand why we aren't giving everyone a scholarship?

He's arguably our most dynamic playmaker on offense. If he's not on scholarship it's a crime.
He wasn't the most dynamic play maker on offense when KJ was on the field but...the fact that he is the most dynamic play maker at WR is a sad reflection of the KF, BF, and JB offense. And I love KW.

First of all, he is on scholarship . As far as putting all 105 on scholarship, we certainly may do that, but you understand that is a huge additional expense when you also are sharing 20 million dollars with the student-athletes. The money will be tight at that point.

You really think that Kirk dictates everything about the offense? He doesn't. Lester is making the calls.

On a fourth down he gets involved but overall it is Tim's offense.
Of course he doesn’t call every play, but things have always been done within his approved framework (like other head coaches).

That's good to know. When did that happen?
