Wisc has won 6 straight and is now 15-9, 7-4. their remaining schedule:

at MD
at MSU
ILL
at IOWA
MICH
at MN
at purdue

I think they win just 3 of these 7 games (ILL, Mich, at MN)

if they finish 18-13, 10-8, what will they have to do in the B1G Tournament to make the Big Dance?

They are actually playing pretty well and could play spoiler while making the dance. As far as they are concerned, there is opportunity for great wins on their resume.

Probably yes (to OP) but they have won 6 or 7 in a row and if they were to make the championship game in the B1G tourney they would probably get an at large. How they finish and what they do in the tourney will decide NIT vs NCAA for Buckey.

The 1st year Iowa won the B1G tourney that was pretty unlikely (when Recker and Hogan were injured). Who saw true frosh Brody Biyd going off for 30 a game?

So you never know with conference tourneys giving the chance for an automatic birth.

This was my guesswork from 9/12/2015:

Michigan State 15-3
Maryland 14-4
Indiana 13-5
Purdue 12-6
Michigan 11-7
Iowa 10-8
Ohio State 9-9
Wisconsin 9-9
Northwestern 8-10
Illinois 7-11
Penn State 6-12
Nebraska 5-13
Minnesota 4-14
Rutgers. 3-15

Wow, was I ever a Lemon Sucker! :) But if one flips Mich St. and Iowa...not bad.

This is my thought also. Need to win both home games ( IL and MI), @MN and one more road game. No easy task. After watching MSU and Purdue last night, I believe Bucky could take one of these teams.

IL, MN and Michigan games mean nothing unless they lose one. Need at least 2 of those road games

Their path to the NCAA tournament is pretty clear -- they have a couple good wins already (MSU & Indiana at home) and they have the opportunity for more. Their remaining schedule is a bear, but if they take care of business against Illinois and Minnesota and go 3-2 or better against MD/MSU/Iowa/Michigan/Purdue (3 of them on the road), they'll have a good resume. At that point 20-11/12-6 and if they avoided a bad loss in the B1G, they'd probably make it in as an 8-11 seed. Their biggest problem is that they've pretty much used up their margin for error.

11 or 12 losses on their resume is not good, them and Ohio State will both be on the bubble and will need some divine intervention just to be considered for the NCAA tournament...

It would certainly depend on who else is on the bubble, but if they actually got to 20-11, they'd have quality wins against MSU and Indiana at home (Michigan, too, if they count) and two really good road wins at some combo of Iowa, MSU, Purdue and Maryland....and while how you play down the stretch is not an explicit criteria, Wisconsin would certainly be putting their best foot forward late.

If they lose 3 of their next 4 as the spread will lean to, then I think they are NIT bound.

This team will not win any road games left except possibly Minnesota. There best wins are against middle of the pack MSU and soon to be middle of the pack Indiana. To get in they will have to win the BIG tourney, which they won't. NIT maybe.
