THAT is not a good sign for sure.....Guys were dragging him to practice after late nights out. He was not cut out for this.
Especially in BM's stated system where he requires effort and 100% dedication to the team and no drama.THAT is not a good sign for sure.....
LOL. But please tell me that he at least didn't write a sappy open letter to the fans, coaches, teammates, dog catcher, etc, and express his deep appreciation for Hawkeye Nation, etc, etc, etc, and then conclude with a, "II am entering the portal".Let me share my favorite memory of Isaiah Johnson-Arigu

Whose kid just portaled from Rutgers to Washington for his sophomore year. Feel old yet? 😂The new Marcellus Sommerville - 4 star guy who sat on the bench at Iowa but never set foot in a game.
Exactly. How stupid is it to let a guy transfer TWICE in one year, never play in a game, and be able to just go to his third school in a matter of months and play. Unbelievable......The new Marcellus Sommerville - 4 star guy who sat on the bench at Iowa but never set foot in a game.

Kadyn Proctor would like a wordExactly. How stupid is it to let a guy transfer TWICE in one year, never play in a game, and be able to just go to his third school in a matter of months and play. Unbelievable......
I'm sure there'll also be a mention of God's plan for him in there.LOL. Sorry, but no. Not ragging on the kid as much as the stupidity that allowed what we are seeing to become the new norm. This is insanity. How can anyone actually be a fan of any team when you don't know from one year to the next who's even going to be on the team? I'd really love to see this whole thing crash and burn, and then hit the reset button....You guys ragging on the kid strikes me as wrong. He was going to play but had to wait til next season. Fran gets fired and he wants/needs to move on. Good wishes to him, he was a very good high school player and I imagine he will be successful where he lands.
For sure. Sometimes I feel bad for God. He’s the ultimate scapegoat of all scapegoats. Whenever someone wants to justify a decision they make, it’s all part of HIS plan.I'm sure there'll also be a mention of God's plan for him in there.
Read the thread, somehow ppl are mad at the kid. I totally agree and have said on these pages, the system is completely unsustainable and will bring about the end of college athletics. You want to be mad at someone, JBO comes to mindSorry, but no. Not ragging on the kid as much as the stupidity that allowed what we are seeing to become the new norm. This is insanity. I can tell you this is not what JBO had in mind.Read the thread, somehow ppl are mad at the kid. I totally agree and have said on these pages, the system is completely unsustainable and will bring about the end of college athletics. You want to be mad at someone, JBO comes to mind
That happens a lot but his big mouth helped get us to where we areI can tell you this is not what JBO had in mind.
His first coach retired abruptly and second coach got fired. So it’s understandable.Exactly. How stupid is it to let a guy transfer TWICE in one year, never play in a game, and be able to just go to his third school in a matter of months and play. Unbelievable......

So just shut up then and not do anything. Ok. Keep that in mind as you move on in life.I can tell you this is not what JBO had in mind.
You seem really worked up about a player being able to choose a new school after his coach gets fired or quits.Exactly. How stupid is it to let a guy transfer TWICE in one year, never play in a game, and be able to just go to his third school in a matter of months and play. Unbelievable......
So stick around and enjoy the ride. That was an option. He’s going to get a new coach either way unless he transfers to Penn. Maybe he met with McCollum and found out he wasn’t part of his plan. That would not be unusual. His first coach retired abruptly and second coach got fired. So it’s understandable.
There.... Ol' Doodle fixed it for you.Exactly. How stupid is it to let a guy transfer TWICE in one year, never play in a game, and be able to just go to his thirdschoolbasketball program in a matter of months and play. Unbelievable......
Difference is the coaches have contracts that have to be bought out if they leave. Players don’t. That’s the problem with the system right now.Gotta love the hypocrisy of fans. A player changes teams 2 times in 2 years and they trash the player. A coach, much like Iowas new coach and the other coach they wanted, change teams twice in 2 years and they celebrate it.
If a player plays at Iowa for a year and then is offered a ton of money to play the next year for a better team, why shouldn't he take it?
So just shut up then and not do anything. Ok. Keep that in mind as you move on in life.
Well, if we get a head coach and they leave us after a year or two, just you wait for those fan reactions.Gotta love the hypocrisy of fans. A player changes teams 2 times in 2 years and they trash the player. A coach, much like Iowas new coach and the other coach they wanted, change teams twice in 2 years and they celebrate it.

He should have thought out the ramifications real thoroughly. It seemed so obvious to me from the start that we would end up in this mess right away. It is destroying college athletics.I can tell you this is not what JBO had in mind.
You must be the smartest guy I have ever heard of then. JFC! You ever asked for a raise in your job? I’m guessing not because you’re not worth it. It was meant for name image and likeness. Profit sharing from universities not from fans.He should have thought out the ramifications real thoroughly. It seemed so obvious to me from the start that we would end up in this mess right away. It is destroying college athletics.
Well maybe if I type slower you'll see what I said. I'm not mad at THIS kid. Hell, I could care less, he's never even worn an actual Iowa uniform. No biggie if he goes, whatever. Its the damn system thats allowing this nonsense, which is what I just said in the post you commented about.....Read the thread, somehow ppl are mad at the kid. I totally agree and have said on these pages, the system is completely unsustainable and will bring about the end of college athletics. You want to be mad at someone, JBO comes to mind
