ISU chokes at home, gives up 60 in 2nd half to Baylor

less than a minute to go Niang hacks the Baylor player (wasn't even close)...and the ISU Hilton magic gang is yelling BS...as heard on TV...ISU fans are so blind to reality its truly remarkable.

they better hope Morris comes back next year & stays healthy...

There will yet come a day when our one point loss in December will be looked at as two programs just passing by each other as they travel in opposite directions.

Texas has played pretty well at home and has knocked off UNC. Kansas State is always a tough place to play as well, then There's the return trip from Oklahoma. Not saying it will happen but a 2-4 start seems quite possible, and that's before any games with Kansas and West Virginia. Its not quite over yet but there's a very narrow path to a Big 12 title at this point

I noticed that. Guy was practically assaulted and yet the crowd and even one announcer thought otherwise. You could tell the other announcer was like, "dude, WTF were you watching?"

Really fun 2nd half to watch. Not same Baylor team KU blew out last weekend. I love how Naz Long is on the bench doing his best Allen Iverson impersonation wearing a white t shirt and jeans. Least put on isu jacket or polo. Fran on other hand has moss and Hutton in suit and tie every game.

No way our loss will be viewed as a bad one. Having said that, 8 or 9 losses for the Clones going into the tourney seems very possible. They have so little depth that pretty much every guy has to be ready to go every minute of the game.

Having said all that, I usually think Scott Drew sucks at coaching, but the switch to the box and 1 against Niang with 8 minutes left totally changed the game. Brilliant move.

Amen. I always laugh when watching ISU fans at Hilton. They believe EVERY foul against ISU is a bad call. They "boo" like no other fanbase I have watched this season.

It's sort of laughable. Sort of like I got a nice little laugh when they loss.

This team is undisciplined and pretty much it's the players running the show and not their new coach. Too many times ISU thinks it can play lackadaisical for 3/4 of the game and then play hard the final few minutes and win. That mentality is catching up to them.

This team will be lucky to get to the Sweet 16. Guessing ISU fans are butthurt there won't be a national championship coming to Ames.

Everyone is bias for their team...I know I am in Carver but I swear ISU adult fans take it to another level...sometimes you are not going to get every call at home. It won't be their defense(lack of) in the 2nd half - it will be the officials. ISU is a good team but not #13 IMO. Have not nor do I look at their stats..seems to me Morris needs to be more active.

I had to laugh because I was in my car and heard the play on the radio and the ISU announcers said that play would "never be called in Allen Arena.". They even doubled down after seeing the replay.

I don't watch the Clowns, but I get the impression they are in decline. Do they have a chemistry problem?

Right now it's looking like Notre Dame is our bad loss, not ISU....at least not yet.

100% agree on the Drew remark. I'm not a big fan of his coaching but timing was everything with that box and 1. Completely baffled the clowns for a good 4 possessions and BU increased their lead to 7.

I don't either, but plenty of Clone fans keep me up to date. So, yea they are a final four team this year. Even though they lost to Baylor, they are still the better team. Just some issues with defense, but of course that is just a little thing that needs to be cleaned up. I'm sure Coach Niang..er...Prohm will encourage them to play more D despite their awesomeness. Because, they lost to Baylor, but they are better than Baylor of course.

So even if they don't make the final 4 they really did, correct?

So it's like if their football team had played Iowa's schedule they would have finished better than 12-0, right?

Saw that 60 points in a half and couldn't believe it.
isu is not going to be confused with a defensively minded team anytime soon. But, 60 points in a half? In college ball? That's astonishing.

Didn't iowa score 50 on them in a half?

It doesn't help ISU that UNI is tanking it in the Mo Valley.

They are 9-7 overall with 1-2 start in valley play. Granted their losses are to (SIU & Mo State). Not a great way to start for the Panthers, they need to string some wins together or they will be in Jeopardy of missing the Big Dance.

isu is final four bound just ask cry-clown fanatic expert Brent with Blummers.

The Big 12 will be the typical Big 12 come tournament time (besides Kansas) because they don't play defense. Those styles against each other are great, but once they play against teams that play defense come tournament time (as we've seen) they will lose.

Who was the ass hat yelling BS in the mic at the end of the game? Somebody on the TV crew should have turned around and socked him

isn't it funny...how all the ISU HR visitors have disappeared. Without anything to defend or a recent Hawkeye loss...its very understandable. I guess they don't come here to just talk hoops.

That probably means they have stepped away from their computers and are wandering around.
